There is an article that said Hezbollah is operating in Mexico . Dies anyone know yet if any of these weapons got into their organization? I haven’t been able to stay up to speed on this.

I wish you were correct but you are not. There will be no conviction. There will be no impeachment. The dims will not vote for either. The pubbies have either the time nor the will to do anything about it. Oh a few do but not most. The congressional pubbies are so weak the executive branch ignores their subpoenas whenever the want to. So FReeper, I don't see it happening.

Most of the MSM continues to aggressively ignore the scandal, or tries to spin it into support for more gun control.

This is why we must push it

No, never drop it! Not for any reason! This is about the murder of at least 2 law enforcement officers and possibly many other innocent people. This must be pursued to the end. No deals; convictions.

I’m getting the sense the “walked guns” were chosen specifically for their ranking in the Antis lexicon.

Why would these gangs whose OA (if the reports Ive read are factual), is primarily urban, be buying Barrett fifty cals ? Its a very long range anti-material/personnel weapon that’s very large, heavy and ammo isn’t readily available.

AKs, ARs (aka the infamous “black rifle”) and Herstaal 5.7 mms (also high on that list) seem to predominate, while shelves of tactical shotguns and other sporting weapons are left to languish on the shelves.

IOW, all of this story is exuding an increasing rank odor of corruption. Yet our government officials insist we “pay no attention to the men behind the curtain”. As more details and more whistleblowers emerge daily, I think its time we took careful notice and insist upon a special prosecutor be empanneled, regardless of how many “race cards are tossed into the hat. >PS

I’m thinking (ala RW and RR) those ATF field participants in that disaster, would be policy-level SACs or upper-level managers right about now. It would be in keeping with past ATF “iron hand” techniques that, directed to create situations supportive of increased gun control, they would choose from the Brady Bunch Top Ten of evil guns and direct their “snitches” to purchase these. (Probably, as its emerging, with taxpayer dollars. Which leads to my wondering about the money flow, and where did it go ? ) >PS

From the whistleblowers testimony, it appears some .38 revolvers were walked as well as the others.

“”Have you ever noticed that the things the liberal/progressive/socialist/dimocratic cabal claim that the conservatives are going to do are actually things they are doing””

All the time! I have decided that they think we are as stupid as the people who put them into office! I’m sure they wish we were. That is “projection” and THEY are too stupid to realize that we don’t recognize it for what it is!

The same goes for obozo and his transparency. He is very transparent but I don’t think that’s what he had in mind when he said it!

Of course they were. The operation planners were too stupid to make sure a wide range of firearms entered Mexico, no .22s, apparently, and we haven't heard of any old Mausers or Enfields, not even 'ordinary' bolt-action hunting rifles. Just those which fit the story they have been pumping in front of the American Public, trying to gin up more sheep to bleat for more "safety".

Thankfully, the 'sheep' aren't buying it.

I am not surprised, in fact, I anticipated the purpose of the operation early on was to do 'justify' more infringements on out Rights, and even before the story broke would not have put it past the BATF.

They have been a rogue agency since they shot Kenyon Ballew in the head over an inert practice grenades on his mantel back in '71, and the festering institutional rot, self-righteousness, and 'ends justify the means' mentality in some parts of the agency have continued to fester for decades.

Whenever they pull some grandstand operation it is a trainwreck, and usually results in people on booth sides of the badge getting killed.

They might look down their noses at 'hick County Sheriffs', but they could learn one hell of a lot from them. I have seen those guys walk into a situation and resolve it without bloodshed, time after time.

Return the Alcohol and Tobacco tax divisions to the Treasury Department, repeal the NFA of '34 and subsequent firearm legislation, and disband the firearms division. Let the Feebies take one or two explosives advisors, or borrow them from the military, and the rest should be sent packing.

Today’s news brings further revalations indicating, while not reaching the level of “conspiracy” a lot of things were/are going on under the DOJ umbrella. Emerging E-mails, memos, and reports/testimony indicate that several operations - under various names - were concurrently taking place from AZ to FL. >PS
