60 votes in the Senate to end a fillibuster and ratify? I really doubt it. Especially after the 2012 elections, which right now forecasts the Repubs holding 57 seats.

Article II, Section 2; 2nd P..

The Pres. has the power (with the advice and consent of the Senate) to make treaties, provided that two thirds of the Senators present concur...

Notice “Present”; I assume that if the Democratic / Liberal RINO caucus decided to call select members into a special session at 2 in the Morning, they could arrange to have their “majority present” and railroad any treaty that the Emperor wants through while most of us are asleep.

If we don’t like the consequences - tough.

According to Article VI, once a treaty is ratified it becomes the “supreme law of the land” - Constitution non withstanding. That sure looks to me like a UN treaty Would trump the US Constitution - Second Amendment and all.
When that happens, our options will essentially be to obey or suffer the consequences of infraction. Resistance to enforcement will be seen as “treason”, and prosecuted accordingly. We will have a disarmed population (at least the serfs will be rendered defenseless) and you all know what that leads to, or we will have a bloody civil war.

Can you think of any other viable options?

Needless to say, it will be much better for the majority of Americans - if not the remnants of the “free World” - if such treaties of tyranny never make it to the Senate to begin with.

The Obama Regime not only has a “back door” approach to “gun control”; he has back windows... lots of them... back dryer vents, back sewer drains, etc... and much as rats, cockroaches and other vermin will do, we may be assured that ALL of them are being probed for potential infiltration and exploitation.

‘60 votes in the Senate to end filibuster and ratify.”

Actually while 60 votes may end filibuster, it takes 67 to ratify. Executive orders can also serve to circumvent the treaty process. The executive branch can also refuse to enforce a treaty. Interesting article on treaties here:

The NRA does not have a current super hot button issue to drive up membership, so this is their best effort. They need to sue re the new sales regulations in border states.

Of course if the dictator gets re-elected, a different story emerges. That’s when you need to have your faux bills of sale that says you sold your guns and have a good cache in mind.

Turning in or registering guns is not an option for me!
