In the face of growing corruption, graft, and prosecution, the newest generation of Russian entrepreneurs are leaving the country in numbers not seen since the fall of the Soviet empire.
The past three years have seen more than 1.25 million Russians emigrations, most of them young businesspeople and members of the middle-class, according to Time.
Corruption is a way of life in Russia, but a recent article lays out just how extreme the situation's become. Time's Simon Shuster describes 22-year-old Alexei Terentev, who graduated from one of Moscow's elite universities, and began a start-up in his parent's apartment.
Although the start-up was successful, the young entrepreneur fled to the Czech Republic because his start-up was getting big enough "to get the wrong kind of attention from officials".

Actions speak louder than words:
Capitalism and freedom, inherent in mankind
As Russia dwindles away, China will take the land. They have plenty of people to settle it.
One problem I see: where do WE have to go to, in order to escape growing corruption, graft, and prosecution in the US?
There are tons of them here.
We should strike a deal: Unlimited Russian immigration into this country in exchange for Anna Kournikova and Maria Sharapova.
RE: China will take the land. They have plenty of people to settle it.
Because of China’s one child policy in place for a generation, she now has 30 million MORE MEN than women.
I guess Russian women will be ripe for the pickings ( that is, if they have enough women as I understand that the Russians are not reproducing as well ).
Our future.

I’m not getting this. You want to send these beauties back to Russia in exchange for unlimited immigration?
RE: Our future.
Emigrate from the USA to where?
We have people all over the world RISKING THEIR LIVES and BREAKING THE LAW to come here even as we speak.
I work with a Russian immigrant. She’s smart as a whip, her husband is Mr Mom, and they live well since she’s so good at her job. Good people. The husband is quite artistically talented.
Oh they got 'em and they're niiiice:
Getting out while they can, before NEP comes to an end,
kinda like businesses in California?
India will surpass China by mid-century.
I have met other Russians here in Alaska who said that some things were better in Russia, like basic health care. One lady told me her first child birth was free in Russia, her second child cost 8K in the USA. She also said that in Russia, everybody got a 2 week vacation at a cabin, for her on the blk sea, National law or something. Bu she wasn't going back either all in all. She realized economics was the basis for a good life and it was better in Alaska than Russia.
WE have always had quite few Russkies in Ak, proximity. Heck we can see Russia from here.
That's already happening in Russia's far east. There are a disproportionate number of women in the native population and they are finding male Chinese immigrants for mates. Russia spans 12 time zones and the eastern regions are far closer to Chinese then European Russian.

We have a lot of Russians here in Alaska and they are the cause of much stealing in our area. Then, when taken to court they are given probation. One guy was stealing the mail and cashing checks - got probation. Also, many of them have new cars and big houses like some mafia deal is going on. They act like you don’t exist when you see them anywhere. I haven’t been impressed.
Immigration like this will continue until this socialeconomic stratification consolidates in a few countries, or even a few cities, in the world.
The problem for Americans is that there is no place to immigrate, or emmigrate, to.
But Europe and Japan also are dying demographically.
The world is in for a big cataclysmic change, methinks.
