***1 oz gasoline, 3oz dish-soap (Dawn, etc.) and 40 oz water. Voila! Low cost malathion***
It works great on hornet and wasp nests!
Leave out the water and you have poor man’s napalm.

"Puhleeeeeze! If I find it, Im gonna spray the schmidt out of it with Spectracide and dust the surrounding area with Sevin." Might I suggest "Roundup" instead. "Spectracide" and "Sevin" kill insects, not plants.

yup, my bosses daughter just tangled with one and has a nice big blister to prove it...

"Contrary to popular belief, Roundup wont kill everything.................Nutsedge is immune..........." Mix some "Crossbow" with it. I haven't found anything that combination won't kill. Basically, if it has chlorophyll, it dies.

You wouldn’t want to store it in a solar screen or suntan lotion bottle.

The only way to get rid of nutsedge is to move.

Reminds of when I was a kid. The neighbor visited cousins in Canada one summer. Came back with some plants with “pretty purple flowers”. Within six years we couldn’t kill Canadian thistle out of the pasture...... >PS

Thanks for the link. I bought some on e bay but these look good.
I haven’t done any fishing in many years but the combo of kayak and fly rod seemed to good to not try. The kayak is good exercise and the lake is only 5 minutes away and no one there week days.

I read that its leaves, root and stem are edible, after de-spining. Tedious, but edible. Its good to know what is edible when times get apocalyptic......

I’m considering taking the klystron out of a microwave and nuking it.
May work on fireants, too......

Nutsedge comes from some outer space planet. When this world is blown away by nuclear holocaust, it will still sprout anew......to feed the cockroaches........

I certainly hope you’re talking about canadian thistle !
And, yes, some parts of it - like many of the thistle family - are reputed to be edible. I don’t know first-hand. >PS
