I agree. Simple crime. Simple punishment. No need for a registry or state involvement of any crime.
If the victim is unable to administer the ass kicking himself, he needs to think creatively for alternate justice. There are so many ways to punish a dickhead.

For instance...I'm a smaller guy...a white "redkneck" looking guy. Was out the shop door having a cig...and a crew from the Atlanta jail was out picking up trash on the road.
Tried to be nice...give em a few cigs...some jaw jacking atarted because I guess they thought I just a dumb country redneck that is scared to death of "gangbangers"...
