This is big, really BIG news. We must go LIVE, preempt our banal, regularly scheduled news coverage for the BIG news that matters. Christmas comes early for the left wing, liberal MSM.

Just as it was with the Nazis and the old Soviet Union, evidence means nothing, all that matters is the seriousness of the allegations.

I thought that was Ted Kennedy's line!

This is big. No sarcasm intended. Those who follow these issues peripherally need to know this.

When the left wing fundamentalists think they smell blood, there doesn't need to be any evidence.

"They have to have known about it" is all the justification the left needs.

S-L-A-N-D-E-R

FREEDOM OF THE PRESS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED

If Fox wants to beat these criminals, then they need to beat them at their own game. They need to act and behave as if this country is still a free country.

Call them out on their allegations and drag them through the mud for their false claims.

When did this all kinda break, last Friday? Anyway I never watch nightly network news. However, someone in my family had the local news on just prior and it rolled into NBC Nightly News. I was in the room, and noticed they were leading with this whole scandal thing with News Corp.

I thought, "What the heck, we have the whole government shutdown thing looming and the debt deal, and they were leading the broadcast with this?" So I quickly grabbed the remote to see what the others were up to, and ABC and CBS were also leading with it.

Not that I need confirmation of the bias they have, but when all 3 were leading with that story pretty much told me all I need to know. When the big media had an opportunity to kick their competition, they were going to lead with it, despite all the other stuff going on in our nation and world.

This is the #1 news story.....on the left. The chance to take down their mortal enemy? How can they resist. They are in full slobber mode over the possibility of Murdoch being frog-marched.

I haven’t had this much fun teasing the lefties since the “Rove will be indicted in 24 business hours” nonsense.

Blame the BBC. They broke the story because they are fed up with Murdoch's Sky News dominating a market the BBC once monopolized.

The Murdoch story is not a Berlin Wall moment – just daft hysteria

It is unsurprising that Murdoch's fiercest critics should also be his fiercest competitors, notably the Guardian and the BBC. The Murdoch-owned Sky is the one rival to get under the skin of the BBC's dominance of the radio, television and online market. The BBC led on the story every day for two weeks, despite the state of Europe's finances, famine spreading across Africa and Cameron's challenge to the welfare state. The BBC had its share of hard knocks from the Murdoch press and clearly could not resist hitting back.

I agree. Sitting back and stating the obvious (there is no evidence of phone hacking by Fox News employees) isn't good enough. Challenge anyone who claims Fox News employees committed any ethical or criminal acts similar to what was done at the News of the World in Great Britain. Chase them down and stick a microphone in their lying face, with cameras rolling. Dare them to bring criminal charges. Take out full-page newspaper ads challenging any accusations and demand the accuser offer actual evidence substantiating the allegation - or shut up and/or be sued for slander. Don't waste time trying to act polite and diplomatic. Fox doesn't need to act like loons, either. Just be forthright about not tolerating innuendo from liberal Fox-haters or, worse yet, allowing them to go on MSNBC, CNN or the broadcast networks and drop vicious, unsubstantiated rumors ("Fox critics say...".) Call them out, by name. Bill O'Reilly should be good at that since he imagines himself a tough guy. Here's his chance to prove it.

Fox is already whipped.

They lean further left every day, making the typical RINO mistake of trying to placate the left.

I thought hacking cell phones was no big deal. Elderly Democrat busy bodies intercepted Newt’s cell phone conversations and recorded them. I dont believe anyone was charged. Guess it depends if you have a (D) or (R) behind your name.

I’m from Ireland, and over here we’re every day getting more news of what News Corp in the UK (and possibly Ireland too) has been up to. They hacked the phone of a missing teenage girl, 9/11 victims, the UK Prime Minister (by which means they learned of and published news of his son’s illness, just as the family was struggling to come to terms with the news)

It’s not ideological to find this behaviour appalling. Hopefully it was restricted to the newspapers in question. I can’t see Fox doing something like that. But what News Corp did was inexcusable and I don’t think attacking them for it is the same as attacking Fox News specifically or trying to shut them down.
