For a large part, ‘autism’ does not exist.

There are genuine cases, but mostly it is an excuse for poor behaved children and poor parenting.

It is a national scam used by schools to get more federal dollars for students with behavioral and educational deficiencies.

As soon as someone labels their child as ‘autistic’, they are open to receive benefits and an excuse card for anything their child does because they have a ‘disability’ which is covered by federal ADA law.

“When I started 30 years ago, autistic behaviors were very extreme and autism was rare,” said Dr. Barry Wolf, a geneticist, pediatrician and member of the CADD team. “Now, you can hardly find a family that doesn’t have someone who has been diagnosed with autism. I don’t think the incidence has increased so much. The labeling has increased dramatically.”

It’s the new fad. Ten years ago, it was my misbehaved child has ADHD and needs Ritalin. Now, it’s my child has ‘autism’.

The number of diagnoses for ADHD has plummeted.

The problem is that genuine genetic cases of autism are being overshadowed by those not supported by science for economic and social reasons.

Here are all the kinds of dogs I am aware of. Some have specific legal meanings, some do not, some are interchangeable (emotional support dog = comfort dog)
and some are misused. For example a therapy dog is a dog that is brought into a facility such as a nursing home or hospital to provide interaction with patients.

It is not a dog that someone brings around with them to provide that specific person with “therapy”.

Also, there are two separate legal regimes in which these “hyphenated-dogs” are involved. One is the ADA. That involves public accommodations, NOT someone’s home. The other is the fair housing laws.

The ADA pretty much does NOT recognize any kind of dog except a service dog. Those dogs MUST be INDIVIDUALLY trained to perform WORK or a TASK for a disabled person. But there is no requirement of a “service dog license”, and indeed, there is no such thing. Nor is there any requirement as to the AMOUNT or TYPE of training, or WHO must train it. The disabled person can train it him or herself. But, if the dog is NOT well behaved, the owner of the public accommodation can order it out.

Housing accommodations, such as “no pets” apartment houses, come under fair housing laws. These laws recognize a lower standard of “emotional support” or “comfort” dogs. Such dogs do NOT have to be individually trained.

Here’s the list:

“Support dog”
“Emotional support dog”
“Companion dog”
“Service dog”
“Psychiatric service dog”
“Assistance dog”
“Therapy dog”
“Comfort dog”
“Guide dog”
“Signal dog”

What qualifications do you have to be spouting such outrageous nonsense? Are you a doctor? Cite your sources of information. How many autistic people have you ever dealt with?

A) Real autism does exist.

B) The majority of cases of ‘autism’ today are not true cases of autism but people gaming the system for a variety of reasons.

The Autism crowd would have you believe that in 2011 — 1 in 58 boys are autistic which is simply a lie. The truer number is closer to 1 in 10,000.

Once you get a school to believe your child is autistic, you get special treatment, tutoring, tax payer financed goodies, and a general excuse for any behavior or rule broken by the child. The school benefits by getting extra state/federal dollars and grants for each student they label autistic.

Want some evidence?

Psychiatric Fads and Overdiagnosis

“5)It is no accident that the recent “epidemics” have all occurred in the childhood disorders. There are two contibuting factors. The first is the push by drug companies into this new market. The second is that the provision of special educational services often requires that there be a DSM diagnosis.”

Professor Stephen Camarata of Vanderbilt University:

“There is already considerable evidence of false diagnoses of preschool children as autistic, and the treatments inflicted on them can be abusive, with incalculable negative effects on their development.”
