If you make health claims, you’re a drug. If you don’t, you’re not. Simple as that.
That means there’s no such thing as “healthy food”. If it’s arguably “healthy”, then it’s a drug.

I didn’t make the comment that you responded to.....But, if a company makes specific claims on their product they have to have them supported by clinical trials and submission for review and approval by the FDA.
I stand by the statement. The government themselves produce nutritional guidelines, and make claims that particular foods are healthy. Why should a company have to prove to the government that a particular food has health benefits, when the government already implicitly agrees that it does?
