Dims.
Mastering the art of “projection.”
Fairly pathetic at this point.
We made a serious proposal and gave it to the Senate.
Your turn, Dems.
Oh, right, you guys voted to chuck it in the trash without looking at it.
Did we mention that “shutdown” is where we in fact want to be?
It’s not so much that Obama is lying, he is doing the best he can. Obama has dyscalculia. He has no grasp of numbers. Any 4th grade educator can see that. And all of our politicians and news media pretend they are referring to a person who is playing with a full deck. Why didn’t the news media say, “What’s he talking about, 57 states?” They didn’t say anything, because they already knew he had been a Learning Disabled affirmative action student. That is why all of his school records have been sealed. How long is this charade going to last?
Possible hate crime violations, DoJ to investigate. "I won," says Obama
Stop The Insults, Work For the Folks
"These honky, [m-f'ing] racists, bigots should stop disrupting our President's work and obey the leader," says key Democrat. "He won."
Let’s have some objectively transparent negotiations. Either by document or via webcam or both.
By “put aside our differences” he means “do what I want” : correct?
We’ll be fine as long as Bohner stays firm and doesn’t go limp on us.
Impeach POTUS Obama, totally useless human being & destroyer of the American Republic!!!! Nothing more to say!!!
Obama’s sweating his credit card just may be pulled, begs for reps to cave.
The Democrats have been insulting us every day for years. They revel in it.
So, Barry’s telling everyone else to stop doing what he’s been doing?
This from the man who was talking about a lack of leadership?
When the Cry-Baby-in-Chief petulantly DEMANDS that Speaker Boehner appear before the presidential throne at 11:00 AM today, Boehner should have told him he was through meeting and was going home to Ohio. There is nothing to talk about if BO continues the shop-worn Dem tactic of raising taxes now and promising to cut spending later....which they never get around to doing.
A Democrat’s word is worth less than a bucket of warm spit because they have no honor.
I’m sorry.
Did Obama say somethin’?
I couldn’t hear him from the back seat over the loud slurps from my Slurpee
Barry Soetoro aka Barak Hussein Obama II is an insult to every true American. That he was ever sworn in to the Office of President -or that he has NOT been Impeached and removed from Office or Assiassinated is an insult to America.
Sorry, I don't buy that. I agree that both parties share the blame, but I can't say they share it equally, not by a long shot. Especially given that the Democrats controlled the House, Senate, and the White House and did nothing about the problem. Indeed, the Pelosi/Reed/Obama trio made things a whole lot worse.
Do you really, really want more revenue? It's within the purview of the Executive Branch -- no Legislative Branch action required -- to cause this economy to grow, and increase tax income (not tax rates) as a result. It's simple, it's easy, and can be done with a stroke of a pen: Eliminate long-lead-time, excessive, and shifting regulations.
(Do a GOOD job of it, not a half-assed attempt like we've seen to date. Slash several tens of thousand pages out of the Code of Federal Regulations for a start. Free up a shelf. I dare you.)
Now, for those people who are puzzled how regulations can affect the economy, let me explain. When someone wants to start a business, expand a business, or create an offshoot of a business, the first thing that entrepreneur has to do is prepare a business plan. The business plan identifies the potential market, probable sales schedule, the labor and materials needed to meet the sales schedule, the costs of doing business, the projected profit, the rates of return on money investments, and the sources for the initial capital for the venture. The business plan also has to identify the risks, and give some indication about how those risks are minimized. The business plan also needs to provide a timeline for each step in successfully launching the plan.
In a stable economy and business environment, writing a business plan is a hard task in and of itself, taking weeks or months of effort and cross-checking and sometimes navel-gazing to put together a believable plan, let alone an accurate one.
With a turbulent economy, such as the one we are in, yesterday's assumptions are out the window tomorrow because of tectonic shifts in the business environment today. The market may dry up because people just don't have money for what you want to sell. Your costs can rise through the roof, and the worst of it is that those costs can rise at a fingersnap (think Obamacare). Money may not be there, because the banks are scared. Raw materials may be tied up in bureaucratic red tape. The list goes on.
When Warren Buffet reads your business plan, it had better be accurate and up-to-date, or he'll just round-file it. That's true for the local bank's loan officer, too, assuming they feel comfortable loaning out money...because their world is shaking like a boat in a hurricane as well. (Hey, banks are in business, too, and the same thing that makes the new-business guy's life hard goes double for them.)
Why aren't there jobs, Mr. President? Have you considered that taking bets in the current business climate faces worse odds than that same money put on double-zero on the roulette wheel at any major Reno or Las Vegas casino? And, that government regulation is the reason the odds are so against winning?
Here's the kicker: one thing that throws a business plan out of kilter -- sometimes fatally so -- is unexpected delays. Material is late. Getting the people you need takes longer than expected. And, most importantly, all the permits, licenses, permissions and inspections by government at all levels takes absolutely forever.
(When I had a home business writing magazine articles, it took three days and 15 gallons of gas to get all the necessary papers to earn my living. Why did the health department need to inspect my word processor?)
That's assuming you get "permission" in the first place. Think of all the off-shore drilling rigs who have left the Gulf because the regulators can't get their act together...assuming the plan is not to completely shut down drilling in the Gulf. Regulatory delay is a business-killer...especially if it's unpredictable. Double-zero looks more and more attractive all the time...and that doesn't do much for expanding revenue, does it?
So, if you want more revenue, Mr. President, you can start in your own little part of Washington DC,. Trim those regulations. Streamline the processes. Reduce to a minimum the time from submission to acceptance or rejection. Cut down the paperwork. Make everything predictable.
Or leave things as they are. And deal with it.
What he means is cave in and give me what I want.
