Republicans, Zealots and Our Security (Liberals Losing It Alert)
New York Slimes ^ | 7/24/2011 | Nicholas Kristof

Posted on 07/24/2011 11:13:14 AM PDT by mojito

IF China or Iran threatened our national credit rating and tried to drive up our interest rates, or if they sought to damage our education system, we would erupt in outrage.

Well, wake up to the national security threat. Only it’s not coming from abroad, but from our own domestic extremists.

We tend to think of national security narrowly as the risk of a military or terrorist attack. But national security is about protecting our people and our national strength — and the blunt truth is that the biggest threat to America’s national security this summer doesn’t come from China, Iran or any other foreign power. It comes from budget machinations, and budget maniacs, at home.

Watch liberals panic, scurry, lie and deny reality, as their spend forever world of ever expanding government comes crashing down.

Kristof is a particularly egregious doofus, but this is how the upper westside world of the NYT views the rest of us.

Oh, and by the way, didn't liberals say that they wouldn't excoriate their political opponents in inflammatory ways after the Gifford shooting?

Seems the beltway elite has a really short memory.

With his own personal finances, I wonder if Mr. Kristof continuously spends wildly beyond his income and assets? If not, why not?

The paper printer is whirring but all we hear is blah, blah, blah. Same sh*t, different edition.

The New York Times Company had an operating loss of $114.1 million in the second quarter of 2011.

The cost of our debt WILL RISE SOON.

Only way it may not is if we have deficit reduction in this next budget (which isn’t happening).

Interest rates are going to rise, Liberals are just trying to lay the reason for it at the hands of those trying to deal with the debt instead of those who pushed the Great Society Program for 50 years.

Well, the Demos plan (as far as I can see it) is only to .... raise taxes for more revenue! The GOP realizes that American taxpayers have had enough and don’t want to raise taxes. Zero’s bait-and-switch routine, where he gives $2 back for every $3 raised, is transparent to all except Demos and the “media”.

“Zeros’s bait and switch routine where he gives back $2 for every $3...”

It ain’t his money.

IMHO

Hitler had the Jews to hate. Today’s socialists have the conservative tea partiers. If we ever allow them to take our guns get ready to live in a fema camp.

The Pubs passed a bill and sent it to the Senate. They did their job. The Reid and Obama killed it and proposed no alternative, so they can try to blame Republicans next election. End of story.

Should we allow liberals to raise our taxes so they can pay for “research” like this?

No, I don’t think so.

I agree with the Slimes that we have dangerous politicians in our government, but they are in the White House and on the Democrat side of the Senate. Our House Republicans are trying to save our country and society, not crash the economy, restrict our liberties or anger God by immoral behavior such as wanton unborn baby killing.

Dear Progressive Facists Clowns at the NY Times;

Instead of writing such hysterical ignorant bile laced rants, how about you look at what the rating agencies are saying.

EVEN if we did what YOU argue for in this article, the bond agencies will still downgrade our rating thus doing exactly what YOU accuse the GOP of supposedly doing.

Simply raising the debt ceiling does NOTHING to address the fundamental problem of our out of control debt.

I always learn new things from the Democrats. Apparently maxing out the credit lines have nothing to do with the cost of money and taking out new credit cards lowers the risk of default and lowers the cost of borrowing.

I was taught the opposite.Glad I have been set straight.

People like this will have to be re-educated.

It's obvious his first education has failed him.

My growing concerns with China, are long term and structural. It has a lot less to do with our debt then it does with China’s communist system and demographic issues.

I got a nasty feeling that China is going to be our chief rival in the 21st century. That friendly relations with the former communist dictatorship now more simply a dictatorship may just be a pretense to build up their strength.

I’m not sure which congress critter said the following, but I believe it was Rep. Clayburn (Democrat):

“Rules? There are no rules. We just make them up as we go along?”

Typical liberal lies and distortions. They’ll make up a few new rules of decorum or conduct for everybody to follow every few months and then ignore the very same rules when inconvenient. While at the same time demanding that the rubes (you and I) abide by them.

Liberals, elites and the media don’t forget about the rules. They just ignore them.

You better take a look at history. When progressives take over, their opposition does not go into camps but instead to unmarked graves. Don't think American progressives are too civilized for that. Look up Bill Ayers, Obama’s close friend and confidant, solution for to many Conservatives. He wants to put a bullet in the heads of 30 million Americans.
