Heroic?. Dont make me vomit. You ARE aware of this man’s past history with terrorism, yes?.
This is the same Peter King who used to rail against the British for their ‘mistreatment’ of IRA terrorists.
This is the same Peter King who used to SUPPORT IRA terrorists in the US in the 80’s who opposed extradition back to the US. EVEN AFTER THE IRA MURDERED AN AMERICAN CITIZEN IN THE 1983 HARRODS BOMBING.
This is the same Peter King who used to oppose said extradition even although it was the policy of his own (Republican) govt and President (Reagan).
This is the same Peter King who openly invited terrorists like Gerry Adams to America even at the height of the IRA’s terrorism.
I would have thought that it would Americans that the head of your most senior security oversight committee, one which oversees the organisation whose very task is to defend America from terrorism, is a man who for 40 years and until four years AFTER the evil of September 11th 2001, was an open, vocal and passionate supporter of terrorism.
Terrorism which in 1983 killed an innocent American and wounded another.
A man who opposed Ronald Reagan’s attempts to stop said terrorism support from the US. A man who in 2008 was defending publicly a bail-jumping convicted IRA terrorist (and illegal alien) arrested in the US. A man who called George Bush ‘a tool of anti-Catholic bigoted forces’ in 2000.
I thought that it might strike Americans as strange and hypocritical that said chairman is now advocating many of the anti-terrorist tactics he opposed for 40 years.
I honestly thought that might disturb some people.
