As a Palin supporter, I disapprove of Ed Rollins’ bare-knuckled treatment of Bachmann’s fellow conservative, but I’ve read Rollin’s fascination book, and admire his skills.

Bachman is looking competent without question, sincere and relentless is a good word for her serious minded campaign start. She will look great in the next debate and is doing swell in Iowa and is showing off a great ability to threaten Romney, who in one poll had at 30%. The media is crouched to coronate Romney, but for the time being Bachman is definitely getting in their way. We owe her a lot already because Romney could have blistered the field early on but for her.
I like her cool self confidence and unflustered presence whether in an interview, a debate or on the stump. We don’t have to hold our dang breath when she speaks in ANY of these venues. Check yourself out and see if you don’t stop breathing when the others present their case. She is tough as nails and remains unthreatened by the media meanies and the rest of the field. A gem, for certain.
On Ed Rollins, I left the intended trail earlier and failed my point on Rollins that you made. The Palin broadside aside, I would say that Bachman’s perfectly framed retort to Pawlenty is vintage Rollins, and one more sign that he is an accomplished street fighter who is more than prepared to take on ALL candidates who fire in Bachman’s direction, or try to move in on her well earned early ground.
