I agree, and have said that before on another thread. I believe Reid was scared it had a good chance of passing, so he couldn’t allow that.

But here’s where I’m confused - at first I though Reid decided himself not to allow it to come up for discussion. Yet I also read later that the Senators voted to table it, winning by 5 votes. Which is right?

The Senate voted to table it. Straight party line vote -- 51-46.

The motion to table was doubtless approved by Reid.

Krauthammer spoke on O’Reilly tonight and, much as it’s discouraging, he’s right - if Republicans vote against Boehner’s plan and insist on CCB or nothing right now, it’ll be absolute suicide, we’ll take the blame for the resulting damage and pave the way for a second term of BHO.

We’ve just GOT to get him out before we can start restoring the Republic. First things first.
