He's got his American history right. His comments re: Hamilton, Washington, Marshall are correct. He could have more aggressively debunked the 10th amendment theories currently in style in some conservative circles, which is what I would have done. But I think his point that a little Jeffersonianism now and then is a good thing is a fair point.
The other point he makes is that you have to be FOR something to win. I suspect Perry knows this. At the moment, it seems to me, he's our best hope. Unless we want Romney.
