Over the years, many of us have followed with mild amusement the tales of purported misbehavior of the not-so-gentlewoman from Texas, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.
She's been ranked the "meanest" member of the U.S. House by Washingtonian Magazine. A Daily Caller exposé earlier this year suggested she's the worst boss in Washington. A recent Houston Chronicle analysis showed her office has the highest turnover, by far, in the Houston congressional delegation. She goes through chiefs of staff the way some people go through sneakers: 11 since 2000.
Pitiful testimonials from former staffers reported over the years, including by my colleague Rick Casey, describe a controlling perfectionist with a Queen complex who uses staffers as a personal valet, having male aides hold her handbag, making drivers wait for hours at the curb, and calling staffers at all hours, sometimes apparently just to make sure they'll answer their government-paid phone.
She's reportedly fond of humiliating and bullying staffers into compliance with her high standards, launching into profane tirades that sometimes turn intensely personal. Casey once interviewed an aide who said Jackson Lee told him he was so stupid his son should be embarrassed to have him as a father.
Now, it should be said: Jackson Lee is a favorite target of unfair attacks seemingly motivated more by racism and sexism than merit.
The offending traits staffers attribute to her describe plenty of pushy, demanding political bosses on Capitol Hill. The anonymous nature of many accounts do raise questions of their validity. And although the behaviors they describe seem unprofessional, they've never seemed to cross the line into illegality.
Discrimination claim Until now. The latest mistreatment complaint against Jackson Lee takes things to a whole new level.

She’s just a straight up B. Thats all there is to it. OK left-wing nutbag, but thats abot it.
High turnover of her employees?
Well, it is hard to be ruled by a moron.
Now, it should be said: Jackson Lee is a favorite target of unfair attacks seemingly motivated more by racism and sexism than merit. And the basis for that particular claim is ... ?
I hope this lawsuit causes this self-anointed queen a huge amount of negative publicity, money (her own, not ours), and time.
Here’s the answer. Read Mychal Massie’s column on the subject.

She’ll be there as long as she wants to be. I’ve talked to black people in her district who say she’ll only show up to a function if she’s paid with a “donation”. I don’t think she even lives there and hardly even visits. I’m convinced she was “handed” that office by the powers that be.
What race is the woman who filed the suit. That will make all the difference in the world.
Oh, well. The only thing worse than being a obnoxious, racist, ignoramus is working for one - which makes me wonder why she is able to get staffers in the first place.
Mona K. Floyd, former legislative director and chief counsel for Jackson Lee, not only put her name to her accusations, she filed a lawsuit in federal court last month against the congresswoman's office. Floyd alleges that Jackson Lee violated federal law by discriminating against her because her disability: monocular vision which causes eye fatigue and strain, headaches, slower reading speed, reduced concentration and general physical fatigue.
My poor sister is stuck with this piece of work as a congress critter. Sis is so conservative she makes me look left of center on many issues. But for some reason, some fairly decent neighborhoods in North Houston (near IAH airport), including hers, were stuck into this district.
I know, let’s see if she can even spell “bias”...
I’d even let her buy a vowel...Just to give her a chance...
More than anything else, she has a low IQ problem.
Her IQ squared would not make minus zero.
When you have no intellectual foundation on which to rely, your only response to anything is an emotional one. When you have been assigned power and wealth by office, every problem to solve is not a nail, but an emotional beatdown to be given.
When she appears in public places people should give her a “shout out.” People should yell out something like “you bugly fitch!” Most bullies like her can dish it out, but they can’t take it.
“She’s reportedly fond of humiliating and bullying staffers into compliance with her high standards...”
Yeah, right...more like double standards.
It is for these reasons that it's vital we don't allow stupid people to be voted into power, it's a disasterous mix.
She needs an appointment as Amabassador to Mars. (You need to know her Mars story)
