Rush just pointed out that a plan that froze spending at 2011 levels would be scored by the CBO as a $9.5 trillion CUT over 10 years.
This is the level of dishonesty we are fighting.
If Harry “Marble Mouth” Reid is breathing, or even just twitching, he is lying.
I can’t think of anything more stupid and foolhardy than spending Billions in the middle-east wars to protect oil supplies to China with borrowed money from China! It is a lose-lose proposition for us and win-win for China.
Since there are no budget surpluses on the horizon as far as the most powerful telescope can see, we will be paying China interest until doomsday. We are already borrowing 42 cents for every dollar spent. The national debt is growing at alarming rates.
It is time to wake up to reality that we are a bankrupt nation and can not afford military adventures abroad.

Reid’s proposed cuts (7/26/11 per the WSJournal)
total l.5 Trillion, as follows:
l trillion in ‘war costs’
100 billion in madatory spending, but none affecting Medicare, Medicaid or Soc Sec.
400 billion in interest savings.
Of course the 7/26th numbers are sooo yesterday.
