Alas, poor Jane. When home shopping network QVC canceled a July 16 appearance to promote Primetime, her new book on aging, Jane Fonda took to her blog, complaining that the broadcaster had capitulated to well funded and organized political extremist groups still unhappy with her 1972 visit to North Vietnam.
Miss Fonda, 73, then posted a 4,200-word entry titled, The Truth About My Trip to Hanoi

Cry me a river, Jane(you ignorant slut).
Still not unconditionally sorry.
My family offers a product that was sold on QVC for about 5 years I cannot help but think that QVC not only look at the bad image this projects they probably thought the product was lame.
Jon F’n Cary himself said nothing bad happened in Viet Nam after we left.
Ahhhhh.....Jane.....stick an anti-aircraft shell up your ass and pretend you’re an F-4.
Jane has learned the lesson that there are consequences to one’s actions, even for liberals.
She chose to go consort with the enemy in Vietnam. She chose to go and give aid and comfort to the enemy. She is lucky she was never prosecuted for treason, but that’s another story.
But Jane has learned, that even after almost 40 years, many are angry at what she did. As a good liberal she can say she had the best of intentions and all that.
As all of us have to do, she has to live with the consequences of her life choices. She chose to go to North Vietnam. We chose to protest her actions, boycott her products and movies, etc.
Liberals have no problems with boycotts and protests against those with whom they disagree. It cuts both ways. Our constitutional rights are not only for liberals.
She got extremely mad at me for asking the question.
It’s such a shame that this beyotch couldn’t, just once over these long long years, honestly and genuinely apologize for her treason and then slink away to not be heard from again.
If I were king, I’d have executed her long, long ago.
H A!

‘QVC caved to Conservative interests’???
Jane...you stupid hag, you are TOOOO old to ONLY NOW be learning how the world works!
You were arrogant and dumb as dirt permitting the enemies of YOUR COUNTRY to do more things with you and your name than a monkey does with a peanut!!!
NOW you are paying for your shameful conceit and pathetic stupidity!
QVC makes it’s money based on the purchasing power of millions of decent hardworking Americans, including me.
I considered sending them a note of protest but never got it done. I’m glad others did.
Organized protest groups? I doubt it.
“Hi.. my name is Jane Fonda and I’m attempting to recreate the past so I can function in the present”. /s
There are some things you just can’t change by saying I’m sorry. Or did she even say it? I didn’t read her stupid thing.
God will probably forgive her, but I won’t.
[her new book on aging,]
Save some money, just look in the phone book for plastic surgeons, she has probably used them all over the years.
Actually, she’s been half-apologizing since the late 1970s - when people were trying to boycott her stupid videos that asked you to “feel the burn.” When doctors were shocked with this bad advice, she had to backtrack yet again - a lifelong activity that you think she would pick up on and try to change.
And who is she to decry boycotts? If memory serves accurately, she used to come out quite regularly against lettuce producers in California when Mr. Chavez was leading the way with HIS boycotts. And as a Jane-watcher, I remember her trying to boycott Frito Bandido chips because the little cartoon character was raaaaaaaaaaaaaaacist.
For anyone who is amused by watching train wrecks, fires and car accidents, Jane is the gift that keeps on giving.
If Hanoi Jane fell on the ground bleeding to death in front of me I’d giggle my a$# off!
You’ve got me thinking of Jane Faux Pas - an hilarious compendium starting around 1970. Her appearance on Dick Cavett circa 1972 when she declared that we won the War for Independence without foreign help. Mr. Cavett had to remind her about the French and Poles...
