FBI teaches new recruits to read 'anti-Islam' books
The Telegraph ^ | 7/28/11

The FBI taught new recruits about Muslims with a power point presentation that recommended they read books criticised as sharply prejudiced against Islam.

A slide show used by the bureau for training new agents told them that Islam “transforms [a] country’s culture into seventh century Arabian ways” and is “hard for westerners to understand”. It said that Muslims were swayed “more by ideas than facts”.

The 62-page document, which was released under freedom of information laws, was designed to help agents perform “successful interviews/interrogations with individuals from the Middle East”.

It told new agents as recently as 2009 that Muslims engage in a “circumcision ritual”. One slide asked “Is Iran an Arab country?” before telling students that it was not.

It also said that agents should understand that the “Arabic mind” was “swayed more by words than ideas and more by ideas than facts.”

The document concluded with a recommended reading list of eight books, which included “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Understanding Islam”.

Also among the list was “The truth about Muhammad – Founder of the World’s Most Intolerant Religion”, by Robert Spencer, an author who runs the jihadwatch.com blog.

Of course, the agenda here is to show how prejudiced and racist the FBI was against those poor, innocent Muslims prior to the advent of The One.

Farhana Khera, the head of Muslim Advocates, a group that provides legal assistance, said that the FBI’s endorsement of Spencer’s book was “deplorable and offensive”.

The [FBI]said that Spencer’s book was no longer recommended to new recruits but said: “We encourage our agents to seek out a variety of viewpoints”.

Someone please tell Khera that I find murdering 3000 innocent civilians and hacking off the heads of nuns and other Christians offensive. Still, the FBI caved in...again...to political correctness and removed the reading list. Personally, I think Australia has it right: You don't like what we do here, don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

Good I hope they are also teaching those agents that Islam is not a religion, its a political ideology.

File this under the NSS folder. (No $hit Sherlock)

Liberals only know how to govern by ideas, not by facts. It's why Islam is so appealing to them, If it wasn't for the stoning and beatings, they would pay to convert.

It also said that agents should understand that the “Arabic mind” was “swayed more by words than ideas and more by ideas than facts.”

This discription also fits your average Libtard to a "T"!

I don’t believe the article for one moment.

But if it is true....
Then I am glad to see that SOME sanity remains among those tasked to enforce our laws.

Me, too - and it’s been ridiculed by some Air Force JAGs trying to make us more “tolerant”. I was very tempted to ask the guy presenting if he’d actually read it, but I outranked him and it wouldn’t have been appropriate in that mix of people. I did, however, say, “it’s actually quite a good book”. Got a very shocked look.

You need a good SNCO for a dogrobber. He can say those kinds of things and get away with it. ;)
