Christine O’Donnell Fires Back At Sen. McCain For Insulting Her On Senate Floor
Mediaite ^ | 7/28/11 | Frances Martel

In a fit of anti-Tea Party rage, Sen. John McCain tossed a media exposure lifesaver out to former Delaware senatorial candidate Christine O’Donnell, insulting the Tea Party for having launched her to the Republican nomination. O’Donnell graciously accepted the opportunity to make headlines once again, releasing as epic a statement as we haven’t seen since the Homeric tribute to Newt Gingrich last May.

Needless to say, being dismissed as a crazy candidate did not sit well with the Senate hopeful known mostly for having to clarify whether or not she was a witch. In a short and sweet statement, she reminded Sen. McCain of the “nightmare” that was his presidential race as proof that nominating Tea Partiers like her (and not “RINOs” like him) is the key to success:

I think that it is inappropriate to insult the judgment of the majority of Republicans in Nevada and Delaware and that the implication that nominating RINOs somehow means we win was irrefutably disproven by McCain’s own presidential candidacy debacle. After that nightmare, McCain had to veer right so fast he almost got whiplash from all his flip-flopping just to keep his Senate seat. It doesn’t help him to attack those conservatives and Tea Partiers who graciously gave him another chance to keep his job.

we’re really and truly sorry about that. I left the space blank and did not vote for anyone for senator. I voted JD Hayworth in the primary, but really he wouldn’t have been much better. it cost mccain $22M to hold onto his seat last time

Same with Paul Helmke who ran as a RINO against Evan Bayh in Indiana a few years back. Even my dad didn’t vote for Paul and voted for the Libertarian Candidate. Where is Paul at today ? President of Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.

> Mike Castle would be so helpful here if he were in the Senate [/sarc]

> In point of fact, Castle would have been more harmful. He would be quick to compromize and be in the spotlight. Coons now holds the hard left line - his influence is insignificant. RINO’s are more damaging than hard lefties.

I have friends in AZ... After McCrap beat JD in the primary, I floated the idea of Repubs/Tea partiers to cross over and vote for the Dem to FINALLY end McCain, His wife and most especially his daughter...

They laughed at me and told me I was out of my mind...

Spoke to them this morning... Oh what a change of heart!

If anyone cared what you thought John, you’d be president right now.

Now get back to your hard work of reaching across the aisle to take our money and freedom.

Heard McLame on Fox last night....what a frakkin joke he is.

Just go call yourself a liberal and get it over with John. That is EXACTLY what you are. You aren’t even a Republican and you are so far from a Conservative, you wouldn’t even know one if they bit you on the ass.

And by the way, it’s way past time you retired, you old coot. Enough of your elitist, America bashing, LEFT wing drivel. Just STFU and get out already!!!

This Frances Martel’s spin on O’Donnell defending herself after McCain’s completely unnecessary attack on her is what is remarkable here. What was O’Donnell supposed to say, “Thank you sir, may I have another?”

I didn’t vote for the maggot for Senate, EVER, or for any other position.

As we know, the Republican establishment is to blame, not to mention his millions to buy the seat.

But the nasty, vile, hate-filled spew that comes from those who have no clue about AZ is disturbing on any McCommunist thread. Yesterday someone even posted death wishes to ALL Arizonans.

As vile, distasteful, and destructive to our nation as leftist McCain is I find those on the right who speak of 'their liberal friends' to be more repugnant and ultimately more dangerous.

You know, even if Christine O’Donnell were a witch, I’d take her sanity over that of McCain. Juan is an oddball among oddballs. You just KNOW that Gov. Palin is rolling her eyes over this nut’s latest statements.

Calling out McCain would be STUPID for Gov. Palin to do. There are some things in life that you must leave to others.
BTW, this latest budget fiasco shows why exactly it would have been worthless to have elected Mike Castle senator. I’d vote for O’Donnell ever time!

His wife and big mouth daughter are liberals disguised in expensive dress. Can someone escort him across the aisle or can AZ voters impeach him?

However, they did have a conservative to vote for; so we, surely, can question the mindset of the majority of AZ voters.
