FORT HOOD, TX—A tip from a Killeen gun dealer led to the arrest of an AWOL Muslim soldier who had firearms and bomb-making components in his hotel room and planned an attack on Fort Hood, Rep. John Carter, R-Round Rock, said Thursday.
Army Pvt. Nasser Jason Abdo, 21, who was AWOL from Fort Campbell, Ky., was arrested Wednesday in Killeen on an outstanding child pornography warrant.
An article on the website says Abdo “experienced a great deal of harassment and discrimination” because of his beliefs.
"Early in basic training… one soldier repeatedly insulted me and Islam saying, 'Go pray to your god that doesn't exist or your pedophile prophet,'” the article quoted Abdo as saying.
“The climax of this harassment occurred when my comrades all made a concerted effort to get me an unwanted discharge because I was not welcome in their ranks,” Abdo said.
Does anyone know where he is from, what is his background prior to US Army?

MSNBCCBCABCCNN will report that a Tea Party member that is a Sarah Palin regional director planned the attack.
His mistake was going AWOL, or they would have never suspected him no matter how obvious he was acting.

And about as predictable as a rabid dog. He is going to strike but when and where?
This guy sounds impressively stupid. I suspect that he was inspired to join the US Army to get “jihad training” which he could use to sabotage or slaughter US troops. And then, about one week into his basic training cycle, he said to himself, “This sucks! I quit!”
And had the half-wit told anyone else he wanted out, they probably would have let him walk. But instead he came up with an elaborate scheme to become a c.o., get all prejudiced against, and something to be determined later.
Then, unless you are a real soldier, or a real Texan, buying a gun in Killeen is about as smart as holding up a policeman’s bar. With a knife. During happy hour. That gun dealer prolly smoked him as trouble five seconds after he walked in the door. The chief of police is probably his cousin.
In any event, since other than AWOL, there are probably not too many charges against him in the Army, they will let the State of Texas deal with him. And deal with him they shall.
I imagine about one week into his prison term, he will say to himself, “This suck! I quit!” Doesn’t work that way, dumbass.
