President Obama Is No Longer Tethered To Reality (was he ever?)
Forbes.com ^ | July 28, 2011 | Peter Ferrara

President Barack Obama’s speech to the nation Monday night was highly disturbing. Because read carefully, it reveals a president wildly divorced from the fundamental realities of the nation he is supposed to be leading.

President Obama actually told America on national television that it is a nation “with a system in which the deck seems stacked against middle class Americans in favor of the wealthiest few.” It is incomprehensible how a man serving as president of these United States could make such a fundamentally false assertion about his own country.

"..official IRS data showed that for 2007 the top 1% of income earners paid more in federal income taxes than the bottom 95% combined. The top 1% paid 40.4% of all federal income taxes that year, almost twice their share of income. The middle fifth of income earners, the actual middle class, paid 4.7% of federal income taxes."

I believe we are actually living in the Matrix. And Obama is one of those govt dudes running around with sun glasses looking to eliminate Neo (capitalism).

He is a marxist ideologue promoting class warfare day in and day out. It is no more complicated than that.

It's only incomprehensible to those who continue to give Obama a modicum of respect for America and its Constitution.

“The Rich” will simply close businesses and stop working if taxes negate their efforts.

“The Super Rich” will leave the US (and US tax liabilities) if taxes become confiscatory. They already have homes and connections abroad.

Then what, Barack?

Hint: Socialism didn't work at Jamestown, and it hasn't improved since then.

I’m still not sure whether he is a committed Marxist who is deliberately lying to us (as all Marxists do) to promote his agenda, or whether he is an empty suit put out by the Marxists to spout their lies, and he’s too vacuous to do anything more than just read what’s on the TOTUS.

It’s one or the other, but both are bad.

But the imbalance in taxes also shows the imbalance in income.

Not if you've been paying attention.
That's who he is.
That's what he believes.

....As a result, Obama is constitutionally required to pay Social Security benefits, under his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed. That means failing to pay those benefits would be an impeachable offense....

obama has already committed MANY impeachable offenses, but no one with even a shred of power is even talking about impeaching him!!!!

As though, in any but a fantasy world, there should be a balance in income?

” a system in which the deck seems stacked against middle class Americans in favor of the wealthiest few.”

For instance, some of the wealthy few will sometimes undeservedly educate and elevate a pliable, narcissistic, consience-free, token “man of the people” far above his middle class roots and prop him up into a position of useful-idiot-reading-from-teleprompter, hayna? Or no?

Obama knows exactly what he is doing. He was a student of Alinsky who was a student of communist Antonio Gramsci. The plan is to bring America down from within. It has ALWAYS been the plan. To achieve the goals, capitalism must be destroyed. Class warfare is part of that. Bankrupting the country is another. Over regulation and driving companies overseas is another.

Just before this mornings speech, David Gregory said that the president was not involved in the details of the negotiations. Hell, Obama has NEVER been involved in the details of ANY negotiations.

But the imbalance in taxes also shows the imbalance in income.

Different things and different actions have different prices because they have different values because producing them or doing them have different degrees of difficulty and costs and different demands by those who want them done. You may as well complain about the imbalance in costs between a pound of lead and a pound of gold and say, well, they're all equally part of the category of metals, so there shouldn't be any difference between them. I work as hard at my job as Bill Gates so either I should have his income or he should have my income. Doctrinaire approaches to reality almost always results in insanity. And leftist politics has the greatest number of nutcases of any of them.

“It’s only incomprehensible to those who continue to give Obama a modicum of respect for America and its Constitutio.”

That’s right. It amazes me how all these writers, news show panelists and commentators speak constant surprise and puzzlement about BHO’s words and deeds, wondering why he says and does this or that.

Most of us here had him figured out LONG ago, so to us it makes perfect sense. I can only hope that many of these guys, in private behind closed doors, also really do have him figured out and are just showing wonder for the cameras.

I would like to see stats that leave out corporate taxes. I think 1% thing is skewed.

Yes.

I'd add that Marxist redistribution is a core religious belief for Obama. I think he'd forgo re-election before he'd give up his Freudian need to punish the rich.
