The Man Behind the Anti-Shariah Movement

NASHVILLE — Tennessee’s latest woes include high unemployment, continuing foreclosures and a battle over collective-bargaining rights for teachers. But when a Republican representative took the Statehouse floor during a recent hearing, he warned of a new threat to his constituents’ way of life: Islamic law.

Fred R. Conrad/The New York Times
David Yerushalmi has quietly led a national movement.

The representative, a former fighter pilot named Rick Womick, said he had been studying the Koran. snip... “Folks,” Mr. Womick, 53, said with a sudden pause, “this is not what I call ‘Do unto others what you’d have them do unto you.’ ”

Since last year, more than two dozen states have considered measures to restrict judges from consulting Shariah, or foreign and religious laws more generally. The statutes have been enacted in three states so far.

Voters in Oklahoma overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment last November that bans the use of Islamic law in court.

In fact, it is the product of an orchestrated drive that began five years ago in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, in the office of a little-known lawyer, David Yerushalmi, a 56-year-old Hasidic Jew with a history of controversial statements about race, immigration and Islam. Despite his lack of formal training in Islamic law, Mr. Yerushalmi has come to exercise a striking influence over American public discourse about Shariah.

Working with a cadre of conservative public-policy institutes and former military and intelligence officials, Mr. Yerushalmi has written privately financed reports, filed lawsuits against the government and drafted the model legislation that recently swept through the country — all with the effect of casting Shariah as one of the greatest threats to American freedom since the cold war.

This is the extreme danger of replacing common law with administrative law. Administrative law ISN’T LAW. It’s just a bunch of policies backed by corporate guns that are influenced by corporate predation. And yes, I’m talking about the government. But because everyone is so fooled by the word babble, we now have so-called judges citing 1400 year old murder decrees by desert barbarians in order to undermine and erase the ENTIRETY of Western Civilization - and they’re doing it against their own country and families!

When you add that these miscreants consider themselves the “elite” of “freedom” ... it’s easy to recognize this as the biblical End Times.

Unfortunately, people who issue this type of warning are routinely poo-pooed and will continue to be until it is eternally too late

Despite his lack of formal training in Islamic law, Mr. Yerushalmi has come to exercise a striking influence over American public discourse about Shariah.

They're proving Mr. Yerushalmi's point. The point is, American courts should be informed by American constitutional law. No "formal training" in other legal systems is required, or even particularly desirable.

For Muslims Shariah law is above government law and supercedes it. If they conflict, Shariah wins.

” Even its leaders concede that American Muslims are not coalescing en masse to advance Islamic law.”

They don’t have the numbers to get that pushey. Presently they are doing in America what they have done elsewhere when their numbers were at this level in those places.

From the article: "Despite his lack of formal training in Islamic law,"

All right, 'Times, just what, exactly, constitutes "formal training" such that all the other trained folk would recognize? Since they probably wouldn't let this Orthodox fellow into whatever institution (or country, for that matter) from which that peer-group receives instruction, he's being effectively denigrated for his race/religion.

How totally ironic that muzzies believe that Shariah law is Allah’s law and trumps any law or laws made by `mere men’.

Shariah IS the law as written by one mere man, their so-called prophet Mohammed. He wrote it and nobody else.

Therefore, obeying Shariah law over law based on the U.S. Constitution is to follow a charlatan and his subversive command to disobey that which was drafted by the Founding Fathers and democratically ratified by the States.

Seems to me that any devout orthodox muzzie is a subversive bent upon undermining the law of our land.

......“The fact is there is no Shariah takeover in America,” said Salam Al-Marayati, the president of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, one of several Muslim organizations that have begun a counteroffensive. “It’s purely a political wedge to create fear and hysteria.”....

But the “authority” that they quote, Salam Al-Marayati, is a muslim Brotherhood operative!!!!

http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/32883

.....Judicial Watch reports they obtained documents that include a list of participating individuals and organizations in Napolitano’s meeting with individuals with controversial radical ties, including:...

Salam Al-Marayati, Founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC): According to press reports, Al-Mayarati has long been criticized for his extremist views and statements. In 1999 former House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt (D-MO) withdrew his nomination of Al-Mayarati to the National Commission on Terrorism because of Al-Mayarati’s extremist politics. Al-Marayati once said, “When Patrick Henry said, ‘Give me liberty or give me death,’ that statement epitomized Jihad [Islamic holy war].” One of the organizations that attended the meeting was the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which was created by members of the Muslim Brotherhood. ISNA was named in 2007 by the U.S. Department of Justice as an unindicted co-conspirator in a federal terror trial. The group was identified as a major financier of overseas Islamic terrorist organizations, particularly Hamas.....

The NYT does it again!!!! “All the news we fit to print.”
