Reid backs debt deal if other Democrats will: aide

(Reuters) - Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid will support the tentative debt-ceiling deal as long as other Democrats back it as well, a spokesman said on Sunday.

We think alike. Many believe because the Tea Party was influential in the last election, it gives their agenda a green light, bar none.

I would love that to be the case.

But, we have to be realistic here. If this gets pushed too far, it could damage the Tea Party's influence and momentum.

My contribution in italics. Those Republican and Democrat presidents were throwing away money back when a dollar was really worth something. Obama is just quantitatively different.
