They call it Bula Bakti, the Carcass Dump. Here, in 37-degree heat, we help to dig a grave for Osman, a seven-month old boy, who died of starvation in his mother’s arms the previous night. It is 12.45pm on Saturday, and before Osman’s body is committed to the earth, his mother brings us to her home — a hut made from tree branches tied together into a dome and covered with bits of plastic for a roof. Osman’s body lays on the mud floor; his mother, Mumini Ibrahim, sitting beside it, with Osman’s twin sister Kadida nestled against her breast. Osman is a fairly popular Islamic name in its own right; it’s particularly famous in the Turkish context where the Sultan Osman I gave his name to the Ottoman Empire.
Of course, not all cultures are created equally.
I’m not callous to their plight but have you noticed that nobody in these societies is suing for gays to serve in the military, nobody is claiming to be a man trapped in a woman’s body, nobody is filing to have religious symbols banned from the public square?
Amazing how actual hardship focuses the mind and eliminates the decadent.

That's an understatement. If you are ever in Central Ohio and hear the natives mocking "skinnies," you'll know who they're talking about. The local media portrays whites as "intolerant" while treating the stinking (literally), arrogant, filthy Somalis as saints. Interestingly, the group that despises the skinnies more than any other is American blacks. Put "Raeshawn" in a room with a skinny and you'll have a cage match.
Oh, did I mention we've had dozens arrested here by the feds as terrorists? Remember the Brooklyn Bridge plot? That was planned in a Tim Horton's on Cleveland Ave in NE Columbus.
And to think, out of three brothers, Ted was the only one nobody shot at.
