That sound like a good read for an academic paper.
Keeping the "useful idiots" occupied with beer, sports, drugs, and sex, while they rob them blind.... is a tactic the Democrats National Socialists dearly love, and practice as often as possible.
It reminds me of Leadership School in the military, and talking about projection bias or psychological projection.
That's what was on display today, with all the psychotic liberals blaming the TEA Party for being terrorists.
Don't work too much on trying to find that paper.
But if you do find it, let me know.

It’s more of the same crap sandwich. This thing is bad, no doubt. And there are a lot of other things that are clogging up the ability to grow in addition. Just cutting spending isn’t going to fix this hellish kind of nightmare.

Well said and agreed. I was an instructor in Army Reserve schools (yes, PLDC and other). The focus was combat, though, so I don’t recall having seen material about projection. But after nearly twenty years of being interested in propaganda studies (self-studies beginning with pro-family volunteering and advocacies), I’m acquainted with it.
