Obama's 2012 Theme: Republican Spending Cuts Didn't Work, So We Must Ask the Rich to Sacrifice More

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I went to the WhiteHouse.gov, and their headline: "Bipartisan Debt Deal: A Win for the Economy and Budget Discipline." It's a very long piece, I'm not going to read the whole thing to you. But it is the most straightforward and complete outline of the deal from the White House perspective that there is, and at WhiteHouse.gov they are beside themselves with joy. This post crows about how this debt deal locks in Obama's runaway spending. They're ecstatic about how it slashes the military and protects entitlements, even locks in the end of the Bush tax cuts. All of which should disabuse anyone of the notion that the Republicans pulled off a tremendous victory here. Note, too, there will be no spending cuts until after the 2012 elections. That's part of the deal.

I’m watching these debates and frankly I would refuse to vote until the democrats acknowledge some responsibility. Every freaking democrat who speaks lays the whole mess on the republicans despite the democrats not coming up with a budget when they ran the show.

The wealthy can afford to live and invest anywhere. Why would they stick around and get their pockets picked?

Rather than punishing the hard-working successful people why don’t we get some tax revenue from union, the 50% that pay no tax, wean slugs off the public programs, get a handle on wasteful spending, do some honest budgeting, hold agencies at no-growth budget, etc., etc., etc?

better yet- during the first two years of his reign of error the rats controlled all three facets of gov’t with huge majorities everywhere....

if the Bush tax cuts were so horrible why didn't obama/reid/pelosi and the rest of the extreme left wing roll them back when they had the votes and the GOP could do nothing????

if those evil oil companies are taking advantage of evil loopholes in the tax code why didn't obama/reid/pelosi and the rest of the extreme left wing close those loopholes at the start of obama’s reign of error when oil was $35/barrell and gas $1.85/gallon???

if the rich were not paying their “fair share” why didn't obama/reid/pelosi and the rest of the extreme left wing raise the rates when they had the resoruces and votes???

this is easily refutable- just like blaming the GOP for not drilling domestically- and can be used to embarrass the rats and once again show obama is a coward and not a leader...

GOP Feared Obama Would Blame Them for Default and Downgrade

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_080111/content/01125112.guest.html

(excerpt)

I got home about, oh, I don’t know, two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday. I was exhausted, and I sat down and I started catching up on some stuff, and I got a note saying ranking member wanted to talk to me. So the ranking member called and spelled out the deal here — what it was, and why it was a winner, and the best we could do with the one-third government that we control and all that — and the best thing is that we’re assured now of avoiding default. I remember saying that there isn’t gonna be a default unless Obama wants there to be. There’s a contingency plan to make payments. There isn’t gonna be a default. We’ve got revenue coming in.

Didn’t matter.

The ranking member didn’t want to take the chance that even if there’s no default, Obama says we’re in default, and blames the Republicans. I told you last week that they were operating on the basis of fear, and the fear — the real fear — that they’re operating under is the default resulting in a downgrade of the full faith and credit of the US. They don’t want to go anywhere near it, they don’t want to be part of it, they don’t want to go close to it, they don’t want to do anything that will allow that to be said. So that’s the barrel that the regime had ‘em over. Everything else was almost inconsequential. That was the thing that was animating them. Yeah, so tomorrow is Default Day. Tomorrow. You know, this is Ramadan. That was default day one: Ramadan.

Yep. Obama will demagogue away about “draconian, failed” Republican “cuts” until the election... and the Stupid Party won’t even get any cuts until after 2012.

barry does not even pay for his own parties, clothes, jewels or vacations or the education of his kids, WE DO.

“GOP lawmakers said the super committee could well recommend a rise in taxes, which would be passed by the House.”

*In addition, financial experts warned the U.S. credit rating was still likely to be downgraded, as figures revealed the U.S. has entered a double-dip recession and the Dow Jones average today fell to a level barely above the point indicating growth. *

“would be the largest increase in the debt limit in U.S. history by a margin of half a trillion dollars”

This deal does not lower taxes or lessen regulations that are strangling the economy.

If the US gets downgraded it’s because there is too much debt not because there isn’t enough!

It isn’t that the spending “cuts” didn’t work, its that they helped wreck a sputtering economy. Had we spent the money, the economy would be better, so it isn’t his fault.

I think his tax returns for last year showed he paid 26% income tax rate, federal

smarmy hypocrite

no wonder he has so much “extra money he doesn’t need”

Under the obama tax rates, we better see him back up to 39% federal taxes

So We Must Ask the Rich to Sacrifice More

That's like when the muggers "ask" you to hand over your cash, credit cards, watch and trousers?

That kind of "ask?"
