Flux capacitor. , really someone should explain to him that a battery does not need a generator to produce electricity.

Is it against the law to build a nuclear reactor in your kitchen? I suppose you may need a permit or something.

“To get it to generate electricity you would need a turbine and a generator and that is very difficult to build yourself,”

After you’ve got the reactor, I’d think this would be the easy part...

The last place I worked (as a consultant) had a battery rack that added up to a potential disaster - lethal, that is.

Put enough auto batteries together, a ton or so, and you’re flirting with death.

Nobody listened ...

I built a super-collider in my laundry room once.

They made me dismantle it.

He should have put on a turban, shouted "Allahu Akbar," and told the cops he was building a bomb. The police wouldn't dare insult his culture.

Fission not fusion, and even that is doubtful given the minuscule quantities of radioactive materials he had acquired.

Been there, done that. Easier to hide in the cellar.

They don’t want to have to buy your leftover power so they go batto.

Wasn’t this a Barney Miller episode 30 years ago?

Yup. Looks like it's on Hulu: http://www.tvrage.com/shows/id-2716/episodes/17819">

Beryllium/oxide is commonly used a an insulator for VHF/UHF Ceramic Transmitting tubes. They are perfectly safe as long as you don't crush the ceramic in the tube. The dust if inhaled is a carcinogen, but in a liquid medium or a paste I am not sure it is that dangerous. You probably can absorbed it through your pores in a liquid.

http://www.osha.gov/SLTC/beryllium/index.html

“About 1-15% of all people occupationally-exposed to beryllium in air become sensitive to beryllium and may develop chronic beryllium disease (CBD), an irreversible and sometimes fatal scarring of the lungs “

Boy is this person lucky he does not live in the USA where simply belonging to a political party (Tea Party) classifies you as a terrorist and as such open to the full weight and unlawful force of our federal government.

Warrant less searches, phone taps, no knock warrants, a target for the DHS, DOJ can all be used against terrorists.

At least his government is not at war with him.
