American Thinker ^ | August 1, 2011 | Jeannie DeAngelis

Combine class warfare, demonizing the rich, getting as many people onto the welfare rolls as possible, and pushing the economic system to collapse and you have a flawless formula for Cloward-Piven 2.0 -- and a vehicle that ensures Obama remains in power.

“What do you see as his end-game next year? Martial Law?”

I am among the worst predictors you’ll encounter; that I’ll say first, before I share my thoughts.

I am not sure there is a specific end-game. I think that 0bama wishes to create “states” meaning “conditions”, circumstances”, out of which he can be re-elected. That IMO is his plan.

A vandal spray paints your garage door with the idea of marking your property as his territory, showing he can “get to you” (making you both angry and insecure) or generating some kind of notoriety or publicity for himself. Or some combo of all three.

0bama, to me, is a juvenile delinquent. That’s all there is to it. He hates the American system and wants to trash it. He does not think much about what might come along to replace it should he succeed in tearing it down, he just impulsively wants to trash it. It’s vandalism. There’s nothing good about America to him, except hollow, vague, obsolete ideals. He has no understanding or appreciation of American creativity or aspiration or industrialism. He thinks everything we have in the US we stole from some poor unfortunate others. We are rapists. We rape people, we rape other countries. Now it’s our turn. He identifies more with nationalities that express hostility to the US. He idolizes these celebrities and Wall St goons for their power and influence and thinks he’s pretty cool being able to hang out with them. He’s only in it for his own aggrandizement. But the common thread is the idea that these celebs are getting over on the system, and that, my FRiend, is his fondest aspiration.

For example, he doesn’t think deeply about nor listen to adverse opinion on healthcare “reform”. He doesn’t care about what the true reality will be like for the people he thinks he has fooled into following his (and they are not really his) ideas on HC reform. He wants to sell his crap as “reform” and enable himself to say he destroyed what came or existed before him. That_is_it. I seriously believe that is all there is for him. That’s as far as his thinking goes. He doesn’t understand nor wish to understand nor care about what will exist post-0bama. He just wants to have America experience this giant come-uppance and be humiliated and for him to arrogate for himself the power and fame and notoriety he thinks he will obtain from the sycophants he surrounds himself with for being the one who brings it all down. This is the way he will achieve the celebrity that his hangers-on and hoops buddies have.

Does this sound crazy? Think about how much admiration he will have from Bill Ayers, for example, who wanted to kill the pigs and bring the system down. And still does. And Reverend Wright? 0bama would literally be a saint of Wright’s church if he could say to the reverend “Look how I made the white man pay! Look how I brought down this rotten country!” What about Van Jones?

He wants to destabilize and de-traditionalize America and its citizens so that the rubes will come begging to him in
various states of semi-starvation and so he can lord over them. I make no exaggeration. He wants to bring in illegals in endless numbers because their economic impact is continual torment to the taxpayers and their votes not only subvert the will of legitimate citizens, but ther numbers and reproduction rates physically threaten natural citizens with rising crime, deteriorating neighborhoods, and balkanization. It constantly renews the race card he plays all the time, it regenerates the class warfare card he is always pulling, and it forever guarantees an underclass he can exploit for votes. It is a very consistent strategy for undermining whatever security citizens once thought they had.

He is a vandal. He’s a juvenile delinquent. A petulant child, he only wants to tear down as a means of gaining attention. He wants to be on TV every other day.

Think about it.

Martial Law may be on 0bama’s whiteboard (ha!) but I sort of doubt that because it would be bound to generate substantial resistance.

But the possibility exists that we may have to swim through an ocean of crazies to get there.

Oh yeah. At first, the welfare slugs will loot TV's, stereos, jewelery, etc., but will eventually discover they can't eat these things. Hopefully, that will buy the normal people time to escape the cities, load up and prepare their families, and bunker down.
The rural areas will have already prepared. I don't know too many people in the rural areas who have not loaded up on ammo and food.

That may be Obama's plan, but is he the one calling the shots? He didn't get to where he is today by himself and I believe the people who run him have far more ambitious plans.

Obama was elected President because America wanted to prove to the world we are not racist.

Those who voted for Oboma the first time proved they weren't racist.
Those who vote for Oboma a second time will prove they are.

As I say in my #21; the motivation is more or less simple vandalism. This is a philosophy (if you can call it that...it’s more a default mental condition) of jealous ingrates who only wish to see the high and mighty fall. They don’t care if they themselves rise; they care more that the mighty or the once-mighty fall. They don’t care if all the programs they want to have going are unfailingly gamed by predators from the inside; they just want to feel righteous for advocating “fairness” and “empathy” as a by-product of wanting to tear down the successful.

Why do you think there is so much attention paid to the Anthony Weiners and Charlie Sheens of the world?

It’s just a low-rent myopic philosophy of a class of people who have no aspiration for themselves either because they have never sought it, or because the school system has trained it out of them. Their concept of fairness is not achieving anything. It is tearing down the apparently now successful, with the idea that since they do not see themselves as creating something from nothing, that tearing down SOMEthing will inevitably scatter some crumbs their way. It’s pathetic, but that’s how I see it.

And in some sense, I can understand it. Because what they see is a system where laws are not enforced on those occupying highest rungs of the ladder. What they see is ridicule of morality and an ethical environment where getting away with stuff is valued more highly than taking the accepted rules of the system, working within them, and making something out of nothing. There are no established principles; there is what you can get away with.

The left lacks foresight. What makes them think the tax slaves will continue to support them? If the left crashes the economy, who will feed the welfare slugs? They'll have no idea how to feed themselves. The left will lose control over these crazed people. Left thinkers do everything based on emotion.

Crashing the economy will ruin the country, but they will control the ruins. The idea is to break the old order, seize the reigns of power and the means of production. There's plenty of hard working taxpayers with kids to feed and mortgages to consider that will go along with whatever it takes to keep the system moving. Even dependent people can be cajoled into action once you threaten their lifeline or let some of them die off as an example.

Cloward Piven is a great idea for leftists who want to break the current system. It will work. Break the restraints, and they will be free to do whatever they want. The only question, which they've not considered fully enough, is what happens when the current system isn't there to protect them? They'll be releasing a lot of people that are willing to fight for our future as hard as they're willing to talk for theirs.

It's an awful mistake, if you ask me, but as a tactic, it will get them what they aim for.

I don’t know the answer to that question, at least not with the confidence I feel evaluating 0bama all on his own. It is a good question, but a separate question.

No, your ideas don’t sound crazy. I agree with you as to his motives - he is a classic punk. But I might disagree with the premise that there is no final plan involved. I find it hard to believe that, with all the hours at the knee of Frank Marshall Davis, and with Van Jones, and with Bill Ayers, and with Eric Holder, but especiaaly with George Soros (who I think singularly elevated Obama to the Oval Office), that a final goal was never contemplated. Just makes no sense. He’s leading us toward some final plan, but surely not of his own making; he is clearly a puppet, a stooge, a facilatator. He doesn’t control his own actions, because he’s just too stupid. When the teleprompter fails, there’s really nobody home, is there?

” In most of the world, this is not called socialism, it’s called communism. “ <<<<<

Thanks for calling a spade, a spade. Aside from the obvious in DC, these same usurpers are institutionalized in Hollywood and the media, and lets not ignore public education, university and academia. How to crack these nuts is the question. We’re hanging out waiting for the ballot box. After that all bets are probably off. The marxists will freak if they lose and we freak this time if we lose.

Could not have said it better than your #21 post. I just can't grasp this philosophy. That someone would rather live in grinding poverty, eating rats and garbage, so long as they stick it to "the rich". Not understanding that they can live better, by being HIRED by the eeevil rich. Or that the eeevil rich pays them to have flat screen TVs and free cell phones and health care and housing. After they kill all the rich, nobody's going to be paying the cable bill that they "deserve".

I have the opposite view. I see someone successful and wonder how can I emulate that? I have no desire to go to Bill Gates' house and slash up his Van Gogh paintings because he has "more" than me. At the end of the day, Gates is still rich, his paintings are repaired, and I'm in jail.

I know one thing, I went grocery shopping last night at a Wal-Mart near me. I was literally the only person in there that was paying for my food. The place was full of people speaking Spanish, many of which I am sure were illegal. All with anchor babies galore I might add.

If the intention was to overload the system, it has been done.

I know that my characterization of 0bama as a vandal begs the question of whom is or may be behind him. And of course, the usual names come up. I am a lot more iffy naming the forces behind the curtain than calling him the punk that he clearly is. I think in many ways that if we can agree (without necessarily naming them) there is a mystery “someone” or “someones” behind him, he has potentially badly disappointed them. That does not mean that those “someones” think they are failing. They are diabolical, they are resourceful, they have made more progress on their goal of destroying the US than any power has in the last 80 years. Let’s put it this way: If they are as smart as I think they are, they have to be at least pondering a future in which 0bama loses 2012, and loses badly.

I just think that the world has decided that there is more money to be made investing in China/India than the US, and indeed, there is possibly more money to be made by feasting on the corpse of a declining and wounded America than harnessing her now-tarnished vibrancy. Perhaps this is a world-wide phase shift we are going through, perhaps it is really smart in a canny way.

I agree, but Hunter Thompson (Gonzo leftist) thought that Clinton was a “set up” in 1992 by the far right so that he would fail so badly that the right wing could “take over the country in 1996”. We all see how that played out. The “rich” are if nothing, not stupid. Even they can see that Obama is screwing with their wealth. For example: Steve Wynn and Donald Trump. 2012 will be interesting indeed.

The question of whether or not there’s a final plan...I think that 0bama thinks he is so smart the can surround himself with his czars and with their brilliant insight and vision, can create the reality he wants out of pure chaos. He does not fear nor shun chaos, indeed, I believe he welcomes chaos as a sure indicator that he is being successful rattling the foundations of what we have. I could of course be wrong, perhaps a final state is clearly defined. You and I will almost certainly never know until it is too late. But I think he sees himself as the rejected one and can redeem himself most exaltedly by first tearing down the existing order and then reassembling things in a way that grants glory to a huge class of exploited and underclass victims who will beatify him out of thanks. He thinks of himself as a god. He sees himself as a beneficent earthquake that may shake down buildings but the reality he will construct according to his vision will be so far superior to what exists today that he will be seen as a hero and visionary. Crap, he already is!

He doesn’t need a plan, his vision is plan enough, he’s so smart he can wing it: “Winging it” is what he does. He thinks he’s smart enough to pick out the glittering jewels of intellectualism he surrounds himself with if there’s something he doesn’t want to fuss with.

It would almost be comforting to think that someone is actually directing it. Sadly, I think this is simply an article of faith among the left. They don't know what comes next, but surely it will be better than this. All they need to do is crash the system and try to seize power while it reboots.

I'm sure their plan is no more thought out than what people expecting the Rapture to be. Nothing to worry about, detail wise, to them. It's just a milestone to get to, so things will get on track as they should be.

Are there people who will benefit either way? Sure, there's always winners and losers, and most of them will have had no idea they are playing at all. That doesn't prove nefarious intent or action or effectiveness. Just varying levels of opportunism.

We are on a historical trajectory that is due to our cultural make up and the content of our collective character. If they American people need a villain, they need look no further than their own mirror.
