The uber-wealthy have their money in trust funds, tax free munis and other instruments not subject to income taxes. The Kennedy's et. all do not need to work.

Taxing the wealthy always = income taxes for those who actually work. The high income types have all kinds of ploys to escape these taxes.

It is the small business, with business taxes filed on personal income tax statements, who always get clobbered with these taxes. The effect is to put people out of work.

What this product of our inadequate public educational system fails to understand is that those in Washington and California who are encouraging this class envy are people who manage to avoid paying but fail to tell you that and make it look as though it is someone else who qualifies. How many tax cheats are working now in DC? Can anyone say Geithner?

The distinct difference in Capitalism vs. Socialism is merely the fact that there is the possibility of upward mobility under Capitalism, under Socialism, the only people who enjoy an upper class lifestyle are wealthy families and Government bureaucrats, the entrepreneur is punished.

The people who create jobs and government receipts are demonized by the same teat suckers who create no wealth (see unionized teachers).

In the final analysis, it’s about unchecked control of people and their futures, as the “Common Good” is determined not by achievement and hard work, but by a set of Illuminated Ones/Ruling Class people who “know better” and will “nudge” us into Government servitude.
