Bachmann: Obama is a transnationalist and 'Not a Big Fan of American Sovereignty'
Atlas Shrugs | April 1st, 2009 | Michelle Gellar

Posted on 08/04/2011 8:06:07 PM PDT by Halfmanhalfamazing

Soros funded Think Progress is attempting to do a smear on Michelle Bachmann using an interview she did in 2009 with Pamela Gellar. We need to keep an eye on what these leftists do, which I myself do every now and then. The think progress piece is here.

This is one of the best interviews from Bachmann that I've ever heard. Even if you aren't a big Bachmann supporter, just consider listening with an open mind.

Here's what she says regarding Obama's transnationalist views:(at 8 minutes 5 seconds)

Gellar asks: In money, in hegemony, um, in foreign policy, abdicating our sovereignty to what I consider to be a malevolent body, in the UN whose objectives are frankly more along the lines of the Organization of Islamic Conference than it is for free men. Um, and this is all, it seems to me, I’m not suggesting a conspiracy. Um, there is conspiracy theory and there is conspiracy fact, too. But I’m not going down that line, but there are very definite things happening. And again, he is not a big fan of American sovereignty; he believes in transnationalism; and wouldn’t sort of weakening our dollar, weakening out monetary value system play right into, we’d be forced to subjugate ourselves to some extent?

Bachmann's response: Yes, I think you’re correct in that assessment. And I think also by scuttling adherence to the Constitution, we are scuttling political freedom as well. Because economic freedom is inextricably entwined in political freedom. We can’t have one without the other. The genius of United States has been freedom. That is the genius. It is not the natural state of man. We look through history, and if we look through current geopolitical structure, freedom is not the norm. That is why the United States is an exceptional nation, in time and history. And we are gambling with some very risky dice right now by not continuing to operate under a constitutional form of government.

This interview has a few other good things in it. Gellar asks Bachmann about Harold Koh,(one of Obama's nominees to the state department) here's what Bachmann says: (at 3 minutes 20 seconds)

Yes, he is, you're right. Because he believes in transnational authority. In fact, he calls on other nations of the world to sue the US to force us to go into, for instance the International Criminal Court, and into other transnational organizations, because he essentially wants to scuttle the people's representation through the constitution and force us into super-national authorities whereby we would cede our sovereignty. That has me very concerned about our money and I had asked a question of the treasury secretary and the federal reserve chair along that line.

Bachmann talked about the dangers of a global currency exchange: (at 6 minutes 37 seconds)

The last thing we want to see is the United States Dollar co-mingled with the Zimbabwe's form of currency that would lessen the value of the american dollar. When you think that the american people have already suffered 20-30% reduction in the value of their homes which for many americans is their greatest wealth asset

She also made a prediction about Obama and money printing. Now that this interview is two years old and we have the benefit of hindsight, we see how correct she was: (at 7 minutes 53 seconds)

I believe that the third alternative(money printing) is the one that Obama will take which will result in massive inflation which is the cruelest tax of all, but I think that's the road we're headed down.

If any of the nominees talked this articulately and with as much depth with more consistently while on the campaign trail, they'd win the primaries easily.(that goes for any of them. Bachmann, Cain, Perry, or anyone else)

Please consider leaving this in one of the side bars for a time. This interview from Bachmann is one of the best I’ve heard, contrary to what the leftists want to make it into. It would be beneficial for many around here to hear this for the insight into Bachmann, for some of the information that’s discussed, as well as see how the left is using it dishonestly.

Bachmann is nail-on-the-head in this interview, on point after point after point.

Sadly, many American voters believe in the printed word, and get their news from the sleazy networks. Soros learned well from Adolph, and again many American voter is prone to get stars in their eyes. The left never relies on the facts. They operate strictly on emotion.

Too bad that most of them will not read Anne Coulter’s “Demonic”, a book every voter should read!

Michelle Bachmann is right on! My check is in the mail to her.

Absolutely...we cannot let Perry or Romney overtake her. She’s the real deal on immigration too.

Personally I'd have no problem voting for Bachman, and not because she's not Soetoro, but because she has principles.

November 2012 is still a way off and a lot can happen, but a few more market crashes and job reports like we've been having and this regime is toast. Once the GOP picks it's candidate things will get ugly, the Chicago slime machine will be running full volume. Maybe it's a good thing there's no clear front runner yet.

Michele Bachmann will make a great 1st woman president.
She is getting better at holding her gaffes to a minimum.
Actually they are not true gaffes but MSM exploits them as such. Hope she wins in Iowa!

Whenever one of these pukes says the word: "Transformational" it's OK to hit them. They will remember it.

Crew served weapons are strictly forbidden.

If Sarah Palin does not run, I would certainly love to see Bachmann on a ticket with Rick Perry. I think they would make an exceptional team.

I think that Perry who is a ranching agri/businessman and Sarah Palin whose family runs a fishing business know a lot more about businesses that actually produce goods that create wealth, rather than a social service-based business.
