Must See Video Shows What We Face in Wisconsin RECALLs (TPX WI Tour Launch)[Updates often]
Tea Party Express ^ | Aug 5, 2011 | Amy Kremer

Posted on 08/05/2011 11:30:44 AM PDT by Syncro

This morning we are launching the Tea Party Express tour through Wisconsin to fight back against the Barack Obama, MoveOn.org and Union Boss led RECALL campaigns against the brave GOP Senators who stood behind Gov. Scott Walker.

This is one of the most important efforts we have ever engaged in since patriots came together to form the Tea Party movement in 2009.

You need to understand what we are up against.  Nearly $15 MILLION has been spent so far in these RECALL campaigns, and national Democrat leaders have poured all sorts of resources into these RECALLs.  That's why it's important that somebody stand up to them.

To see for yourself what we face, please watch this news report video below.  It shows Governor Scott Walker at the Wisconsin State Fair to do what every Governor in Wisconsin does - ceremoniously open the fair.  Instead, the well-organized Left and Union Bosses organized yet another mob to shout him down.  Please see the video

We cannot let Obama, MoveOn.org and the Union Bosses dominate these campaigns, we must rally patriots together and fight back - because  we chose to fight.  The consequences of failure are too severe.  We cannot afford to lose to the liberals and let them win these RECALL elections.

So we need your help - everyone around the country can support us as we engage in this fight.  We've launched a TV and radio ad campaign...so we can be competitive with liberal groups backed by Barack Obama.

We need big crowds at our Tea Party Express Wisconsin rallies that will be taking place this Friday, August 4th - Monday, August 8th.  We now have rally locations and times listed for ALL events on our website:  www.TeaPartyExpress.org

Please, help us spread the word to others about these rallies!  If you use Facebook then we urgently need you to go to the Wisconsin Tea Party Express Event Page and RSVP your attendance (even if you can't physically make it to a rally) to this effort.  And here's the important point, we then need you to click "Select Guests to Invite" and invite all your conservative, pro-tea party friends to this event so you can help us get the word out and build "buzz" for this effort.  Here's the link to the Facebook Event Page: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=212310648820458

The recall election for the 6 Republican State Senators is Tuesday August 9.

The recall for the 2 Democrat State Senators (who ran off to Illinois to avoid doing their jobs!) will be held Tuesday August 16.

Thanks Jellybean!

I'm going to use this thread to update often what is going on with the TPX in WI

Starting with this:

La Crosse rally - the second rally we held this day.  We were honored to have one of those RECALLed Republican State Senators, Sen. Dan Kapanke, attend the rally, so we invited him to come up and speak.  He received a hero's welcome!

Here's more of what is going on TODAY!

Latest report that I have recieved:

American Grassroots Coalition

Friends,

Last week we stood strong in Washington and had a major impact on the debate.  While we did not get Cut, Cap & Balance, we stopped Congress from giving President Obama a blank check.  We stopped Congress from allowing President Obama and Harry Reid to raise taxes in order to pay for their spending addiction.

Now we are on to the next big battle of the recall elections in Wisconsin.  We have partnered with Tea Party Express for a “Restoring Common Sense” tour to support the Republican Senators that are being recalled.

Usually politicians are recalled for not doing their jobs.  These Senators did their jobs! They went to Madison and worked with Governor Walker to balance the state budget, while 14 Democrat Senators fled to neighboring states.  Now, they are being unfairly targeted because they stood on conservative principles in order to restore fiscal responsibility to the state.

There is no battle more important in our country right now.  President Obama and his Organizing for America, along with the SEIU, AFL-CIO and MoveOn.org have all pumped money into this state in an effort to recall these Republicans.  If the Republicans are recalled, it will only embolden the left.

We must stand strong for fiscal responsibility and reign in the out of control spending that plagues Washington and state houses across the country!

We are traveling across Wisconsin and holding rallies for the next four days.  You can find the tour schedule HERE.

Yesterday, we kicked off the tour with stops in Hudson and La Crosse.

In Hudson, we had a very successful rally after being greeted by at least 50 union thugs.  They were nasty, mean and obnoxious, but that is to be expected.  We are a threat to their liberal agenda.

Hudson Rally

Today we are headed to Kenosha and Thiensville.  We are headed into the heart of liberal land, so we expect many more union protestors.

We will update you later on today's stops

Good to hear bcsco

From a live blog of the events. Read from the bottom up for continuity

Here is the live coverage from the Tea Party Express rally under way right now at Village Park in Thiensville.

7:20 PM: Tonight's rally had patriotic tone throughout. Many American Flags, and people wearing red, white and blue garb.

7:13 PM: Two police officers at rally estimate that 275 people attended.

7:06 PM: The rally has wrapped up. There were about 250 people in attendance...and about five or six protesters. The crowd is dispersing.

7:03 PM: About a half a dozen protesters now relaxing under tree far from Tea Party rally in Thiensville park. No confrontations at all tonight.

7:01 PM: "Taps" is now being played as about 200 Tea Party supporters stand in silence.

6:59 PM: Rally is wrapping up. Ron and Kay Rivoli sing another song to end the event.

6:57 PM: "Eyes of the nation are on you," said Andrea Shea King, blogger and radio host. "American is with you."

6:55 PM: "I am all jazzed up!" Andrea Shea King, blogger and radio host, tells the rally participants.

6:52 PM: Eric Odom, of Grassfire Nation, tells the crowd that Gov. Scott Walker has created 40,000 jobs since he's been in office.

6:50 PM: State Sen. Alberta Darling is not at this event. She was invited by Tea Party Express organizers, but isn't here.

6:47 PM: Tea Party Express' duo (don't have their name) sings another song as we await next speaker.

6:40 PM: Speaker at rally: "They made it about collective bargaining, it's about collective bullying. We are not going to be bullied anymore."

6:30 PM: A Tea Party Express song is now being sung at the rally. Meanwhile, a group of about five protesters are circling the event.

6:18 PM: "We are in a devil's handbasket until 2012," a speaker says at rally.

6:15 PM: "Wisconsin is Ground Zero," Amy Kremer, chair of Tea Party Express, tells the crowd.

6:05 PM: The rally has officially started...with a moment of silence to remember the 31 troops who died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan. And then all sang the national anthem.

6:00 PM: So far, there are no signs of protesters. Unlike what happened in Hudson, WI, on Friday, where things got a little heated.

5:50 PM: About 200 people have arrived at the rally waiting for the event to get under way. There are also about a dozen police officers from the area on hand to keep the peace.

There are a lot of flags and a lot of red, white and blue T-shirts.

Those in attendance say they're waiting for state Sen. Alberta Darling to arrive, although her campaign said earlier in the day it's unlikely she will be there.

TEA PARTY EXPRESS GETS SURPRISE VISIT FROM STATE SENATOR OLSON & CONGRESSMAN RIBBLE AT "RESTORING COMMON SENSE" TOUR

The Tea Party Express (www.TeaPartyExpress.org) held rallies today in Fond du Lac and New London today for the "Restoring Common Sense" Wisconsin pre-election tour today.

At the Crystal Falls Banquet Facility in New London, rally attendees were treated to visits from State Senator Luther Olson , along with Congressman Reid Ribble , who spoke to an enthusiastic crowd of hundreds.

Senator Olson said, "Washington could learn a few things from Wisconsin. We have balanced our budget and added 40,000 private sector jobs. We've kept teachers working and class sizes are staying small.  The plan was right, it is working and Wisconsin is growing more prosperous!"

Tea Party Express tour through Wisconsin features conservative speakers, singers, and entertainers, and has been described as a "rolling 4th of July show." More events are scheduled today and tomorrow, with rallies in Merrill, Rhinelander, and De Pere.

The Tea Party Express is sending the message that Governor Walker's budget reform has had a positive impact on the Wisconsin job market, noting that some 40,000 private sector jobs have been added since he took office. "You can't argue with the results. Governor Walker is putting Wisconsinites back to work and helping the state grow prosperous." Said Tea Party Express Chair Amy Kremer.

Rally schedule today, August 7th:

Merrill, WI: 6:00-7:30PM
Riverside Park
East End of O Day Street
Merrill, WI 54452
The "Restoring Common Sense" pre-election tour spans four days and visits nine cities. And more, from FreedomWorks:

Day 2: On the ground in Wisconsin!

By Tabitha Hale on August 07, 2011

Yesterday the Tea Party Express rolled through Kenosha and Milwaukee, and it was a huge success.

We hit the road early, where I became aware of a scramble to find a new venue for the event in Kenosha. Apparently, over night, the small business owner that had agreed to let us use their space for a rally had been threatened and bullied, and had put up a sign saying "Tea Party rally canceled". She was concerned, because she considers herself apolitical, and just didn't know what else to do.

We regrouped, and with the help of the local Tea Party leaders we quickly moved the rally a new location - Lincoln Park, just a few minutes away - and had a great event! There were several people from Chicago present, union workers included, a man who rode his bike all the way from Nashville and a crowd of over 300 who came out to support the recall effort in Kenosha. Despite the venue change, it was a great event!

KenoshaCrowd

From there we headed to Theinsville Park outside of Milwaukee. We had another awesome crowd, and some great local Tea Partiers come out and speak. Vince Schmuki of the Ozaukee patriots fired up the crowd, and was a great voice for freedom lovers in Wisconsin. Campaign for Liberty had a strong showing as well, and Melba Morris-Page, a local bartender and freedom lover, was a highlight of the event.

melba

One thing that's worth mentioning is the number of union members that are at the rallies. I spoke to one woman in particular, a Teamster, who couldn't let her picture be taken because she feared for her job and her safety. The fact that people aren't free to speak up because of the union they are forced to belong to is just unacceptable. It's heartening to see people stand up to the bullying.

Even though there were bumps in the road, there were wonderful liberty-lovers out in force and they are ready to fight for the representatives who are doing the job they were elected to do!

Today will be another big day - we're getting ready to take off for Fond du Lac, New London and Merril. There's more info here - come out if you're around, and help spread the word!

Here is an action alert:

WE CAN ALL TAKE ACTION!

This is an URGENT alert for all Tea Party supporters.

We've set up a Phone From Home program with the Wisconsin Republican Party that will allow you to make phone calls from your own home to Wisconsin voters who support the Republican candidates who are facing RECALL campaigns that were launched by liberal groups and union bosses.

Go to this website: http://www.volunteer-connect.com/wisgop/

Use this username:     TPExpress

Use this password:      teaparty

The website will walk you through the process.

This is very important - we need as many people to participate in this program as possible.  We simply MUST turn out all conservatives and patriots to the polls in Wisconsin on Tuesday.

Tea Party Express Celebrates Resounding WI Senate Victories!
Voters Reject Union Bullying and Choose to Restore Common Sense!

The Tea Party Express is celebrating state senate victories in Wisconsin today, with election wins for State Senators Harsdorf, Cowles, Darling, and Olsen after conducting a statewide tour rallying support for Republican state senators last weekend.

Despite an outrageous onslaught of fear mongering, distortion and intimidation tactics from the far left and national union groups, the majority of Wisconsin voters were not fooled and voted to support senators who did their job and stood by Governor Walker’s budget reform. Although three Republican state senators were not able to fend off the baseless attacks against them, the people of Wisconsin have defeated the enemies of prosperity and kept the state on a successful path.

Tea Party Express Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “The facts clearly demonstrate that Governor Walker’s plan is working. The state has added some 40,000 private sector jobs this year and closed a three billion budget gap. The importance of those achievements cannot be overstated – Wisconsin has set an example that the Nation as a whole should follow.

“The union lobby groups have been defaming principled Republicans because they fear the balance of power shifting back to the people of Wisconsin where it belongs. The fact is, these liberal special interest groups are protesting a plan that has already brought greater prosperity to the people.  By pouring money into Wisconsin and catching the Republicans off-guard from such an assault, three decent Senators appear to have been defeated.”

But this fight is not yet over. Next week the people of Wisconsin will vote in the recall of Democrat state senators who obstructed democracy by fleeing the state and refusing to engage in much needed debate. Wisconsinites deserve representatives who are willing to make tough decision for the good of the state, which is why Senators Holperin and Wirch need to go.

For more information or to schedule an interview, please contact Levi Russell at 509-979-6615 or Levi@FrontlineStrat.com

Thanks, now we start in on the dem recall:

TEA PARTY TAKES THE FIGHT TO THE LEFT

Earlier this week we won a terrific victory in Wisconsin by preventing Democrats from taking control of the State Senate.

We currently hold a 1-vote majority there, but one Republican, who was previously a Democrat, is being wooed by the Left to return to the Democrat Party.

But we here at the Tea Party Express are fighting back.  We're launching a TV ad blitz against 2 Democrat Senators in Wisconsin who fled the state to try and deny Gov. Walker a vote on his budget repair legislation.

Since they abdicated their duties to the taxpayers, we are going to send them the message:  You're Fired!
