The culture necessary to support the constitutional republic that produced a once successful US is gone. We used to be responsible and felt shame for societal transgressions. Taking prayer out of the schools (this from an agnostic), subsidizing single motherhood, lauding dependence over the individual...no wonder we are circling the drain...and we won’t be able to turn this around at the ballot box. 235 years is a pretty good run for a republic, though.
Nope, not with the demographic shift this country has experienced.
