Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) responded to the nation's downgrade at the hands of Standard & Poor's by calling for the resignation of Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.
Saying "enough is enough," the Tea Party favorite pressured President Obama to remove his top economic official and adopt a new perspective.
"The President should demand that Secretary Geithner resign and immediately replace him with someone who will help Washington focus on balancing our budget and allowing the private sector to create jobs," he said in a statement. "For months he opposed all efforts to reduce the debt in return for a debt ceiling increase. His opposition to serious spending and debt reforms has been reckless and now the American people will pay the price."

Geithner and Holder need to go. They will announce some BS story that Geithner is leaving to spend more time with his family and buy more turbo tax investments or something.Someone will be thrown under the bus with gunwalker or it will remain unreported because of all the current headlines. Holder won’t resign easily as he is in on the DNC goal or destroying this country; and they know their time of power is short.
There are already rumors that the progressive Ca. DNC loons want a ‘progressive’ to challenge Obama. They don’t care that a ‘progressive’ will further ruin this country. I am reading reactions of the non political junkie sheeples and they are confused. The WH propaganda with the media may destroy this country if people don’t wake up. Demonizing the tea party and calling them terrorists is their game and we must make sure it does not work.

Geitner is a great example of the liberal plan and proof that affirmative action isn’t race-oriented any more; it’s politics-oriented. Take an incompetent who is always wrong, does more damage than good, and give him job security so he can continue being anti-productive. It’s the Liberal Way...

Geithner is a little dweeb, but he’s not the person primarily responsible here. He may not be the greatest Sec. of the Treasury ever, and his advice may be so-so, but he doesn’t drive the over-the-top deficit policies favored by Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al.
While I think it is a good start, I wish that Obama would get the credit, not Geithner! It’s OBAMA’S policies...not Geithner’s or Holder’s or any underling’s.

I thank the writer for saying “Tea Party favorite” rather than “Tea Party darling”. For some reason that “darling” phrase is really annnoying and feels demeaning.
Add Fed Chair Bernanke and Obama himself to the list of those who should resign.
