Navy SEAL Aaron Vaughn "didn't want to leave this Earth any other way...He loved his job...I want to tell the world that he was an amazing man...He was a warrior for Christ and he was a warrior for our country...He's with the Lord now and I'll see him again some day," [his widow Kimberly said].

One small correction: the final quote excerpted was from Aaron’s grandmother.
Another quote: “I told him to be careful and he said ‘Granny, don’t worry about me....I’m not afraid because I know where I’m going if something happens to me.’ Aaron was a Christian and he stood firm in his faith.”
Sounds like a remarkable young man. Thanks for posting, and prayers for his and the others families.
God bless America`s Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines, and may He give strength and comfort to the families of the fallen. Further, may those whose earthly lives were given over on Saturday be with the Lord in the Heavenly realm of eternal peace.
Amen and amen!
Will be saying a prayer today for this family.
Our best, our strongest, our brightest, our most courageous . . .
and we’re just wasting them — on vermin humanity.
The world needs more heroes, not fewer. I hope the families know they are never alone in their grief.
Bring these men home.
They are dying for no good reason, we are accomplishing nothing in Afghanistan and Iraq.
As soon as we leave these countries will go back to the way they were. Let them.
Bring our young men home, and let them protect us from the foreign invaders on our border.
God Bless this man and his family, and all the fine young men who are serving their country.
I agree with you. The problem isn’t the mission to kill terrorists. The problem is the leadership...BO stinks.
I agree to a point.
We should have a “anti-Taliban Fall” and then come home after seriously degrading them by every means possible.
This never should have turned to nation-building in the first place. It should have been reprisal, overthrow, departure, serious, enforceable threat to do it again.
You are entitled to your opinion as they are.
I am sure they could point out some changes they have made to make life better for the Afghani’s and the Iraqui’s
Chenges that will dissappear the day they leave.
There have been a number of times in the past when you could have rightfully said that America has been engaged in military adventurism. This is not one of those times IMO. We have a chance to affect change in the middle east that will directly advance our national interests. When we can get the left to stop stepping on our national oil spiggot then I’m with you. The middle east can blow itself to hell. Until then, the realities are that we need a stable middle east, period. Iraq appears to have turned the corner and we are making positive progress in Afghanistan IMO.
I noticed on one cable news show (don’t remember which one) they left off the end of the quote “I know where I am going”. I had heard it previously so I realized they cut it off. Can’t have anything related to Christianity on the news. The MSN makes me sick.
Why isn’t there more outrage about this useless war? I emailed the WH Saturday to demand an end to this ridiculous war. I see no reason whatsoever for America to keep sacrificing her best and brightest in this cesspool! I am furious.
Why go straight to the enemy?
Too much information could make it easy for terrorists to know where these families live. Why are they doing this? Why was it announced that they were Seals or Special Forces???
