Gee, let’s see... The Democrats wanted to increase the debt limit and claim deficit reduction by increasing taxes while avoiding entitlement reforms. The Republicans wanted to increase the debt limit, tackle spending and entitlements and not raise taxes. The Tea Party wanted to cut the spending, cap the debt and balance the budget.
What we got was an increase to the debt limit, no entitlement reform and the likely expiration of the tax cuts... and the Tea Party won?!
Barney’s fat little fingerprints (and those of his pal Herb Moses) were all over the housing crash. Fannie/Freddie downgrade is substantially his fault, and now the nasty man is going on offense to once again cover his rotten butt.
