THE SPEECH today reminded me of the parishioner who found the Pastor’s notes for his recent Sunday sermon. At one point, there was a note penciled in the margin, “Weak point. Yell Louder!:”

That is what we heard today. Yelling that adopting a “balanced approach,” which translated means, “Tax the Rich”, does not provide any comfort when it is realized that additional taxing of the primary persons and organizations that have the capital to create the jobs America needs, will only delay the time until prosperity returns. Government-created jobs do not contribute to economic stability. They are not productive and do not increase the wealth of the country — they only increase consumption. They exacerbate the problems we have.
