Guess you are not from the DFW area.
I was just in Southlake this past Saturday evening, and yes, it IS a Dallas suburb. Quite so.
And if you want to be more specific even, it is the Westlake area. Oh, you arent that off with that part though. Their centers are only a couple miles from each other. Basically the same, but oh yes, were talking a Dallas suburb.
Also, I’ve heard Beck and his crew several times talking about him moving to Southlake. He may have used the “Dallas” reference like the cable TV folks do when talking about the weather map, just to give listeners an idea of what part of Texas he’s going to; because people in other parts of the country would have no idea where Southlake might be. Hi neighbor!
Well I live in Fort Worth, and if Southlake, Westlake, Keller, and Grapevine consider themselves OUR suburb, then I must live in a fancier place than I thought! hehe
Hey, can we have Plano, McKinney, and Frisco as our suburbs too? I’d be goin’ out thare buyin’ a Lexus then!
Well, we do live in a metroplex in Texas, so in a way, every place has its own individuality and yet we stand as one. :)
Glad to meet you my little suburb neighbor octex!
PS, I hope to enjoy Christmas in Grapevine some year. I’ve been wanting to do that since we moved to Texas in 2006, but we have not had that opportunity as yet. Enjoyed McKinney’s Victorian Christmas last year. Want to also drink wassail in Denton too some day. Maybe my family will just have to put Grapevine’s Christmas on Main Street on our calendar this upcoming December 2011. Do you recommend it?
