Sarah Palin: Conquering the Storm
Facebook ^ | 8/8/11 | Sarah Palin

In the coming days we’ll sort through the repercussions of S&P’s downgrade of our credit rating, including concerns about the impact a potential interest rate increase would have on our ability to service our suffocating $14.5 trillion debt.

I’m surprised that so many people seem surprised by S&P’s decision. Weren’t people paying attention over the last year or so when we were getting warning after warning from various credit rating agencies that this was coming? I’ve been writing and speaking about it myself for quite some time.

Hey Bigtiger. You are wasting your breath on tv. Reminds me of a pedantic little twit trying to come off as being soooo erudite - sounds very much like affirmative action teleprompter reader - larry’s boyfriend, barry. I would bet he voted for larry’s boyfriend, barry. Such perspicacity that he exudes.

“Please get engaged in 2012 electoral politics and support experienced, vetted, pro-free market fiscal conservatives who will dedicate all to preserving our Republic and protecting our Constitution.”

“Experienced, VETTED, pro-free market conservatives” describes only one candidate for the top spot. Sarah Palin is the only candidate who has experience as a strong Chief Executive (in stark contrast to Perry who holds the weak executive position in Texas). Palin has alluded to this in the past...a clear reference to Perry’s lack of genuine executive experience. Palin is also the only one who has been vetted. This is yet another not so thinly veiled hint. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out her plans, which have been self evident for all but the ostriches for months now.

I am with ya, But out of all the political candidates who would address the American People and tell us in a State of the Union type speech we are broke and here is how bad it is and this is what we need to do to fix it.

We are begging for the truth to be told, we know the country is broke, just tell us, we will belly up to the bar and take the cuts. Don't lie to us, tell us the truth, we are adults here...

Who has the cohones to do it other than her? Romney? Paleease.... Maybe Bachmann and Herman Cain, Newt, Santorum and the rest of the been their to long crowd? They lost all credibility to tell us the truth....

It is Palin or I stay home...

But you are right it maybe to broke to fix...

Every other generation has weathered recessions by sacrifice and belt tightening. But our leaders today decided that they could magically paper over the tough decisions by running the printing presses. A little history lesson might have showed them how well that worked out for Germany in the 1930s. The Weimar Republic inflated its currency so much that it took a wheel barrel full of paper money to buy a loaf of bread. That might be the main thing I remember from Mr. Crum’s history class at Wasilla High, but it told me all I needed to know about the inflationary dangers of a weak currency and why we must avoid it. What a shame Mr. Crum didn’t teach at Harvard.

The last line about Mr. Crum is Priceless...

We are all Mr. Crum now on a screed trying to wake up our ignorant fellow Americans.....

I'm not the one using 5 dollar words, yet still coming off as a shallow cheerleader at a football game.

Some of us are trying to have an adult discussion about our nation's desperate situation, if that's okay with you.

Well written indeed, Bill. But you see, she didn’t go to Haaavaad. So, easy to dismiss from the ruling class you see.

Fortunately for us, she doesn’t work for them.

Like the marksman she is; she chooses her shots carefully. And they always seem to hit their mark.

“It’s a fancy term for running the printing presses and creating money out of thin air – which drives down the value of the dollar and makes the price of everything more expensive.”

Thank you Sarah. You’re absolutely right.

You (to the “elite” )are apparently “dumb”, but Alan Greenspan is “brilliant” yet he can’t get that concept.

And now, to the rest of the thread. Pardon me for weighing in before I got through a few posts. I just got so mad when Greenspan said that this weekend. :)

“We need her in the White House NOW!! If Ronald Reagan were here today he would tip his hat to Sarah Palin..she is a remarkable woman..what she wrote is 1000 percent spot on.”

__________________________________________

Yep.

I saved that great graphic that, I believe, FrankR did, a montage of Sarah and President Reagan. The picture is on my desktop at work and I don’t know how to display it (but it was so great I had to save it)—plus I’m not at work now.

I think President Reagan would be—and is, from the “sidelines”—rooting for her. He loved America just as much as she does.

Evidently, you didn’t read the entire article.

“We need to stop this deficit spending, balance our budget, repeal Obamacare, cancel all unused stimulus funds, and reform our entitlement programs. We have to have an adult conversation about our spending commitments; circumstances have changed, and we must adapt. I know none of this will be easy, but, “thick” or not, the average American outside the D.C. politico bubble knows that we no longer have a choice! We will have entitlement reform and a balanced budget; it’s just a matter of how. We can do it ourselves in a calm, methodical, and responsible manner, or we can wait for the world’s capital markets to ram it down on us.”

Maybe you are the one who needs to “get serious.” Seriesly.

"We need to stop this deficit spending, balance our budget, repeal Obamacare, cancel all unused stimulus funds, and reform our entitlement programs."

Spot on! Instead, Zer0 is going to institute a works program to rebuild out infrastructure (more spending), reform the tax system to make sure the rich pay more in taxes (tax the rich) and borrow more money to pay for it. He thinks that Joe Worker (union worker) is going to take his government check and take it down to Walmart and keep them making a profit. The only thing is that money coming out of a financially crippled government will eventually cause a devaluation of our currency, and that Joe Worker will soon be able to buy less. The result is Walmart will make less of a profit and Big Government will want to tax more to make up for the loss in "revenue." God, I hope you can stop this madness in time--before Zer0 and his minions grind this nation into dust from the debt.

“Didn’t we all learn that in our micro and macro econ classes? I did at the University of Idaho. How could Obama skip through Columbia and Harvard without learning that? “ Hehehehe! Awesome dig!

It'll make pointy heads explode.

It is Keynesian economics that has failed the Zer0 socialists that used it as an excuse to build a road paved in gold to Utopia. Too bad they used long discredited economic policy. They think that if they could have more money available they could stop the economic collapse with more spending. They have a blind eye to the fact that the more money they draw out of the private sector, the less capital is available for the generation of new wealth. Instead of a road paved in gold to Utopia, they are paving themselves a road of crap that is leading this great nation to hell. The only thing they are interested in is how much they can dole out to their friends in exchange for campaign contributions and the vote. Bigger government guarantees that their war chest slush funds get bigger for their investment schemes.

SOMETHING IS ROTTEN IN THE HOUSE OF USA!

It is time to clean house of our sh!t making politicians who are so busy increasing their fortunes on the public dollar they don’t even take the time to study up on sound economic policy.

Yes. Very awesome indeed. It is almost like Ronald Reagan’s spirit is somehow directing her words. The same feeling I got when I heard President Reagan’s Saturday chats, I get reading Sarah’s words.

Clarification for those who may not know this......

She became Alaska's first female governor, and, at the age of 42, the youngest governor in Alaskan history, the state's first governor to have been born after Alaska achieved U.S. statehood, and the first not to be inaugurated in Juneau (she chose to have the ceremony held in Fairbanks instead).

The above is From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Link

First she will repeal ObamaCare. That will save Trillions of dollars right there. Second, you can always change SS and MC by extending the age requirement of NEW enrollees. Right now, the average age of retirement is unrealistically low. Sarah is aware of now and when the best time frame will be to announce her plans in detail. She will not be rushed into a frenzy of hate sound bits from the left until she has established herself as challenger to be reckoned with. She is doing it in a very shrewed way. Her opponents are in total fear of her.
