Sarah Palin: Conquering the Storm
Facebook ^ | 8/8/11 | Sarah Palin

In the coming days we’ll sort through the repercussions of S&P’s downgrade of our credit rating, including concerns about the impact a potential interest rate increase would have on our ability to service our suffocating $14.5 trillion debt.

I’m surprised that so many people seem surprised by S&P’s decision. Weren’t people paying attention over the last year or so when we were getting warning after warning from various credit rating agencies that this was coming? I’ve been writing and speaking about it myself for quite some time.

How much money did the the fed spend to shore up foreign banks? I don't think Sarah Palin has asked that question yet has she?

Sarah Palin should demand an audit of the Federal reserve.

So which of the prospective candidates that you don’t “like” have laid out better, more detailed plans?

Ryan's plan was a "cut" from the baseline budget of 6.2 trillion over the next ten years. Many of us strongly criticized it here on discussion threads about it.

Which may be why Palin endorsed it as a good start, but also noted that it didn't go far enough.

Similarly, she backed the CC&B plan during the debt limit mess, even though she was opposed to raising the debt limit at all.

I fail to see what the problem is in having a long range plan and taking the intermediate steps that move you in that direction. Not all change (and in fact, very little of it) happens all at once.

America must regain its optimistic pioneering spirit again. Our founders declared that “we were born the heirs of freedom.” We are the heirs of those who froze with Washington at Valley Forge, who held the line at Gettysburg, who freed the slaves, carved a nation out of the wilderness, and allowed reward for work ethic. We are the sons and daughters of that Greatest Generation who stormed the beaches of Normandy, raised the flag at Iwo Jima, and made America the strongest and most prosperous nation in the history of mankind. By God, we will not squander what has been given us! Would 0 ever say anything this patroitic, I don't think so.

So, you've lost all faith in patriotic America to take back their own country, and to do whatever it takes to break the grip of tyranny of the Socialists.

Well, I'm not sure what we do with them after we win. Round them up and put them in camps? Execute them? Export them? Certainly we can't ever let them near a voting booth again or we will end up right back in the same hole we are in right now. There are more of them than us. In 1776, we chased their sorry butts to Canada and England. Where do we chase this bunch? Canada? Mexico? China? This is a big undertaking. Unless we destroy the liberal establishment (media, universities, publishing, Hollywood, law schools, etc) we will never rid ourselves of the leftist curse. Tell me, please... what is your plan to make the conservative revolution permanent?

There are more of them than us.

Liberals only make up 21% of the US population, while conservatives make up 42% (at last check). They don't outnumber us at all.

We simply need real patriots and conservatives to regain control of the primary levers of our government, and begin the wholesale deconstruction of the Socialist infrastructure in this country. And we need to keep doing that for two, eight year terms of conservative presidents who are single-mindedly determined to kill the beast once and for all.

We're on our way to accomplishing that. It may still take a couple more election cycles to clean out Congress, but I believe we'll take back the White House next year.

Unless we destroy the liberal establishment (media, universities, publishing, Hollywood, law schools, etc) we will never rid ourselves of the leftist curse. Tell me, please... what is your plan to make the conservative revolution permanent?

Plainly put - hard work. Very diligent, and relentless hard work. There really is no other way. We're going to have to approach taking our country back, the same way we'd approach a war. We have to defeat the enemy one man at a time, one inch of ground at a time.

The war will likely go on for a quarter century or more. It's that large of a task, but one that we must fight for the sake of future generations of Americans. We cannot let the greatest country that ever was, become just an interesting chapter in world history.
