Sarah Palin: Conquering the Storm
Facebook ^ | 8/8/11 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 08/08/2011 4:20:47 PM PDT by Lou Budvis

In the coming days we’ll sort through the repercussions of S&P’s downgrade of our credit rating, including concerns about the impact a potential interest rate increase would have on our ability to service our suffocating $14.5 trillion debt.

I’m surprised that so many people seem surprised by S&P’s decision. Weren’t people paying attention over the last year or so when we were getting warning after warning from various credit rating agencies that this was coming? I’ve been writing and speaking about it myself for quite some time.

Dittos.

She is the outsider we need to help clean up the mess in Washington.

You will never see that which you refuse to see. You mask this personal problem by calling it skepticism. In the precess you delude yourself and waste others time.

I absolutely can not wait to work my ass off to get this woman elected next year.

I hope she's not faking it...

"Our economic news is disheartening and the task before us can seem daunting, but we must not lose our sense of optimism. People look around today and may see only the negative. They see a culture and a nation in decline, but that’s not who we are! America must regain its optimistic pioneering spirit again. Our founders declared that “we were born the heirs of freedom.” We are the heirs of those who froze with Washington at Valley Forge, who held the line at Gettysburg, who freed the slaves, carved a nation out of the wilderness, and allowed reward for work ethic. We are the sons and daughters of that Greatest Generation who stormed the beaches of Normandy, raised the flag at Iwo Jima, and made America the strongest and most prosperous nation in the history of mankind. By God, we will not squander what has been given us!" -- Sarah Palin

in order to accomplish this goal, we will have to convince almost half of the current American population to move elsewhere. We are too divided to return to this starry eyed Utopia. We are occupied by a socialist state. One continent. Two separate and irreconcilable peoples.

Sarah has written a WSJ op-ed on entitlement reform and has consistently written in her Facebook about Social Security Reform and Medicare reform...what's your problem?

Your problem is you got your panties ties in a knot, you either don't read what she says and thus don't have a clue or you are trying to be snarky and picking on things

I'm guessing his candidate left him with something like

"obama is destroying this country's foundations one beam at a time".

If that was all I had to hang my hat on, I'd be pissed too.

Becaus "reform" is an indecisive political buzzword. It could mean anything. "Cuts" is a decisive word. "Cuts", big cuts, are what absolutely, unequivocally, must happen to save the country fiscally.

What's so horrible about expecting someone who may seek office to make an unequivocal statement?

And there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Didn’t we all learn that in our micro and macro econ classes? I did at the University of Idaho. How could Obama skip through Columbia and Harvard without learning that?

Maybe Jake Tapper or Ed Henry can ask that of ZeroAA at the next press conference...

Their reckless spending and destruction of the dollar will make access to available credit for farmers and small business owners harder to get. And it will make transportation costs higher because it will hit everyone at the gas pump. You see, because the Obama White House won’t let us drill domestically, we’re forced to import oil that we pay for in dollars. So, when the value of the dollar drops, the price of gas goes up. And if you think $4 a gallon is bad, wait till you see what life is like at $6 or $7 a gallon.

Sarah's right on this - we need to go out and support her - or talk her into running or something... nice to know someone gets it.

U Rah Rah! She needs to get her butt in the race before its too late. We are getting tired of waiting to mobilize for Palin. Unless she's planning to run the campaign with no grass roots support, she had better get in and get organized...

Wow. Who sounds more like a President, this lady, or the poor excuse for a leader who showed up almost an hour late to his own press conference this morning.

Shame we didn’t get THIS speech at 1:50 today...of course; we wouldn’t have been in this handbasket in the first place with a President Palin...

She's lying. She's not waiting to mobilize. If she were she'd know the drill.

What's so horrible about expecting someone who may seek office to make an unequivocal statement? What's so horrible is a person like you "acting ignorant" ( I'm not calling you ignorant but acting like one) I don't need to lead a grown person like you like a child to explain every single thing to you! I gave you the source now google them!!! Sarah didn't say CUTS but talked about reforming to system for the younger generations of Social Security recipients so that it will be there for them and honoring those who are about to retire since we made them a promise.....Im not going to explain anymore, if you can type then you can look it up for yourselves!

No mention of Social Security or Medicare cuts. Ping me when she’s serious.

Palin long ago endorsed Paul Ryan's Path to Prosperity plan, which includes Medicare and Medicaid reform: That's a serious, that's real, and that's specific.

If you're going accuse Palin of being unserious about entitlement reform, you ought to be serious about being informed.

So, you've lost all faith in patriotic America to take back their own country, and to do whatever it takes to break the grip of tyranny of the Socialists.

That's too bad. I understand that we may have to endure an upheaval of a type that hasn't been seen in this country in lifetimes, but I do not fear. I know that our side will prevail, though we may go through some rather interesting times to get there.
