Just as 45,000 of Verizon's (NYSE: VZ) wireline union workers go on strike, the ILEC reported that it had to fix at least 12 issues in four of its Northeast states since Saturday and after the strike began on Sunday night.
Among the incidents were two instances of fiber cuts in the Bronx, Pomona, Farmingdale and Gilderland in New York, and stolen electronics in Cedar Grove, N.J. affected a local police department.
"These acts of sabotage are reprehensible," said Verizon Chief Security Officer Mike Mason. "In addition to inconveniencing our customers, these deliberate disruptions of our network have affected hospitals, paramedics, fire fighters, law enforcement and other first responders."

They screwed me today and I’m not even in the North East.
Sounds like Verizon has 45,000 extra employees.
Was it ever determined which unit is costing Verizon th most?
Guess I won’t be switching to them after my AT&@#$&*#@*T contract expires in January.
there is a Verizon shop right near my gym which i must past to and fro...Monday AM there were several dozen protestors outside with their picket signs- the usual leftists talking points including one reading “Corporate Greed”...they were all wearing red UCW shirts....i leave the gym to go out for my running workout- i inadvertently brought a red tank top for the days workout...
as i am jogging past them i hear “okay red!!” to which i give the thumbs down....”hey- what’s with the thumbs down?” is immediately yelled at me....at this point i figure my return trip back to the gym should be fun...
now mind you- i lift weights 5 days a week (not bragging- just part of the story)....40 minutes later as i turn the corner on my return trip to the gym all the UCW parasites just watch me jog by without saying a thing- they couldn’t...one guy did give me the thumbs down- of course he was in a car driving away...
today the crowd outside the shop was less than a handful....
It is difficult to believe video of the incidents does not exist. The listing (italics) is support for emergencies.
Fire 45,000 workers and hire new ones.
Verzion’s service can only go up.
and profits could go through the roof...
