Ann Coulter Joins Board of Gay Conservative Group GOProud

Pundit Ann Coulter has joined gay conservative group GOProud as Honorary Chair of its Advisory Council, the group announced today:

Coulter’s official title will be “Honorary Chair and Gay Icon.” “Ann Coulter is a brilliant and fearless leader of the conservative movement, we are honored to have her as part of GOProud’s leadership,” said Christopher Barron, Chairman of GOProud’s Board. “Ann helped put our organization on the map. Politics is full of the meek, the compromising and the apologists – Ann, like GOProud, is the exact opposite of all of those things. We need more Ann Coulters.”

“I am honored to serve in this capacity on GOProud’s Advisory Council, and look forward to being the Queen of fabulous,” said Coulter.

Coulter joins Margaret Hoover, Grover Norquist, Andrew Breitbart, Liz Mair, Chuck Muth, Lisa De Pasquale, Christian Josi, Roger Stone, Andrew Langer, Kathryn Serkes and Bob Carlstrom on the GOProud Advisory Council.

I just visited the GOProud site and there's a clip of Ann Counter from a C-SPAN appearance where she explained why marriage should be between one man and one woman.

I know this will make some heads explode here.

I'm not familiar with the group other than having heard there was a flap at CPAC.

"High Crimes & Misdemeanors" was a great read/resource during impeachment.

Her punditry/humor left me cold after W was elected. She seemed to become more about shock value than substance. That may be more of a Northeast thing.

I’ve purchased several of her books.....at annual book sale fundraisers at public libraries and/or rummage sales.

I’ve never spent more than 50 cents or a dollar for one of her books.

I always thought her obession with Christie was bizarre. I was wondering if she had the hots for him. Apparently, but not in the way I thought.

After Bill Maher came out with a very vicious attack on Bachmann and his usual attacks Palin, Hannity point blankly asked her views on it.

She would not put down Maher or say anything critical about him.

That did it for me.
Not sure what her deal is, but no longer interested in what she has to say.

Since the main theme of the books is widely available for free I can't see paying $25 or whatever for a book.I buy such books at big discounts at Goodwill or the markdown bin IF I bother.

I think a lot of pundits(authors)(radio hosts) get a lot of money for nothing more than repeatedly dressing up their opinions to suit the target market be it liberal or conservative.

Nor have I been one of those who gushed over Ann's appearance;for the record I find Sarah P. much more physically attractive.

She always seemed like a fraud to me. At one point saying anything negative about her would be zot-bait, so I didn’t say much. But boy...
