Pundit Ann Coulter has joined gay conservative group GOProud as Honorary Chair of its Advisory Council, the group announced today:
Coulter’s official title will be “Honorary Chair and Gay Icon.” “Ann Coulter is a brilliant and fearless leader of the conservative movement, we are honored to have her as part of GOProud’s leadership,” said Christopher Barron, Chairman of GOProud’s Board. “Ann helped put our organization on the map. Politics is full of the meek, the compromising and the apologists – Ann, like GOProud, is the exact opposite of all of those things. We need more Ann Coulters.”
“I am honored to serve in this capacity on GOProud’s Advisory Council, and look forward to being the Queen of fabulous,” said Coulter.
Coulter joins Margaret Hoover, Grover Norquist, Andrew Breitbart, Liz Mair, Chuck Muth, Lisa De Pasquale, Christian Josi, Roger Stone, Andrew Langer, Kathryn Serkes and Bob Carlstrom on the GOProud Advisory Council.

Actually among the Beltway elites and media decision-makers, she probably just enhanced it.
They don’t want anything to do with a REAL, across-the-board conservative.
I know this news will make some heads explode here. I'm non-plussed.
"High Crimes & Misdemeanors" was a great read/resource during impeachment but I soured on her "shock value" punditry when W was elected.
I'm not familiar with the group other than having heard there was a flap at CPAC.

Reading the list of other "worthys" on the list just confirms that Ann is looking to become "acceptable" to the "Ruling Class."
I'll give her a pass.
Amen. I saw thru this Barbara Olson wannabe years ago. Her harpy act gets old quickly -- "We should kill EVERY Muslim!! ("Oh wait, now I'm gonna go date one. Pay no attention to that.") Ann Coulter is about doing/saying outrageous things to make $$$, not about upholding "conservative values".
She's very much our version of Michael Moore. Moore has no shame and likes to demagogue and spew venom but he's actually responsible for causing the RATs to lose on many occasions (like when he backed Nader over Gore in 2000), and every time he opens his mouth he damages his "cause" and gives ammo to our side. Ann does the same thing in reverse to the GOP.
I feel bad for the freepers who continue to be blinded by that because she talks a good game. They'll keep buying her books no matter how much Ann damages conservatism in America. She's laughing all the way to the bank.
Yes, she’s dated a string of Democrat boyfriends over the years. She also dated Bill Maher, who is certainly not a conservative but left even of most Dims as well, when he isn’t pure anarchist.
It is a bizarre dating history she’s got. If she were really a conservative all that time, she must have an almost pathological need for conflict in her relationships.
