Sorry, but it isn't. Here in Britain, Asian is the conventional term, in use for many decades (long preceding PC, by the way) for anybody deriving from the Indian sub-continent, not the Middle East. It's not indicative of religion - it includes Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and those of any religion or none, as well as Moslems.

Sorry you guys have to keep explaining it, but FreeRepublic is a big forum out here and we’re so attuned to PC that we think we’re getting it again, even when that’s not the case.
