Joe Biden and his wife have escaped the heat and political squabbling of Washington to spend the rest of the week vacationing in the Hamptons.
Although the VP’s official schedule says only that the Bidens are set to “visit Long Island,” they traveled to their annual vacation spot in Southampton earlier today and plan to stay through Monday.
President Obama will follow his number two’s lead later this month when he and his family travel to Martha’s Vineyard for a little R&R. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney confirmed today that, despite the staggering economy, the president still plans to take his annual summer vacation.

Why don’t the Biden’s and Obama’s vacation in a city run by black democrats with a majority of black residents? Surely there’s some beautiful resorts built by black people - and run by liberal blacks - right?

The really sad part is, media will hide the event and downplay the coverage and few people will know they are in the Hamptons. Actually, I expect that quite a few of the elite media will join them........
Bush vacationed in his own home, is there some reason they avoid their digs in Chicago? Must be a reason.... or maybe it’s not fit for the royalty that they perceive themselves as.
I WANT them to take that vacation. It makes me salivate because when they do, watch those poll numbers dive even further.

President Obama and and his cohort Vice President Joe Biden released their tax returns yesterday:
Barack and Michelle filed their income tax return jointly and reported $1,728,096 in adjusted gross income, most of which came from book sale royalties. They paid $453,770 in federal income taxes.
The Obamas’ reported a total of $245,075, or 14.2% of their adjusted gross income, in charitable contributions.

Joe and Jill also filed jointly and reported $379,178 in adjusted gross income, while paying $86,626 in federal income taxes.
The Bidens’ reported a total of $5,350, or 1.4% of their adjusted gross income, in charitable contributions.

1.4% in charitable contributions? The average American gives about 2 percent of his annual income to charity, about 30 percent more than the Biden family.
The Bidens’ measley $5,350 in charitable contributions line up exactly with what Democrats stands for: The party of self-righteousness.”

When Dubya the `wealthy aristocrat’ would retreat to his home in Tyler, Texas, it was besieged by the likes of Cindy Sheehan and Code Pinko.
Think the `Tea Party racists’ will even be allowed ON the Hamptons or Martha’s Vineyard? I didn’t even know Japanese Wagyu beef existed until the Obamas brought their expensive palates to the White House.

Liberals - especially liberal blacks - should be out there showcasing their accomplishments. You're right - Detroit needs the help - and the rest of the country needs to see those great liberal redistribution ideas at work...
