Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s (R) exchange with a few hecklers turned into something of a shouting match while he was stumping Thursday in Iowa.
Romney faced aggressive inquiries with a liberal bent at the top of the question-and-answer segment of his soapbox speech, which was organized by the The Des Moines Register and broadcast on C-SPAN.
He also waged a defense of low taxes for corporations with a response — “Corporations are people, my friend” — on which Democrats quickly seized.

This is the candidate the Democrats want the Republicans to put up this time?
He has already been painted with a target on his forehead by the Democrat war room. But the duty of the Democrats is to get him nominated in the first place, which makes this early attack just a little curious. At this point, they should be keeping largely silent on Romney, and keep busy with putting little tarnishes of the rest of the Republican field.
But why I be explaining strategy to them? If they want to waste ammunition on Romney by premature attack, then they DESERVE to drain their war chest on futile activity.
Nah, Zero wants Romney to get the nomination.
Romney is completely unelectable with RomneyCare and a flip-flopping track record.
If anything, Obama would be propping up Romney now.

I think you nailed it. I heard Dick Morris on O’Reilly last say that was what he needed to do during the debate, move right and get a bit louder to lock in the conservatives before Perry arrives on the scene.
All I can think of is all the grifters going nutty saying they don't have to pay for anything again now that Obama is President. They are going to be in for a big surprise when this economy goes belly up and their crazy checks from the government stops coming.
I am not a fan of Romney but I thought he handled the situation very well.

Liberal ambush; this will be the entire campaign - attempts to scare old people into voting for the bankruptcy of the very programs they’re terrified to lose. Obama’s camp is going after him hard now. It won’t stop until Election Day. This stunt backfired though; Romney actually responded cooly and quite well.
Or romney care that he forced on Mass. And is now trying to run from. He’s a RINO, if he gets the nod, this conservative will write in Porky Pig, there will be no voting for the lesser of 2 evils, because romney is 0bama light. Both will destroy the USA with their socialism.
