“These are two very bright and competent people. I don’t know why on earth they are doing this.”

On the contrary that is why they are doing this. We need their votes too and if we can deliver them we should. There are a lot of gay Conservatives(no I am not one of them) and we should recognize that and work with them.So long as they dont try to stick it down my throat I don’t care what they do in private.

I doubt any of us care “what they do in private”, but forcing homosexual indoctrination on school children through classes extolling the virtues of sexual deviancy and forcing our government to become complicit in affirming and support same sex “marriage” and calling for hate-crimes for those who don’t agree with them is not “in private”.

Evidently you missed what they did at CPAC. There is a reason they were kicked out and it wasn’t because they were gay. It was because they were launching personal attacks against conservative organizations that had done more for the cause of conservatism then they ever had. In addition they were heckling conservative speakers along with the Ron Paul groupies. This group has done little to nothing to advance conservatsism. They were getting a free ride just because they called themselves conservative and used that entry to attack actual conservative warriors.

You know, the gays who are going to vote for us already do. The ones who don't probably never will. Why pander to them?

There are a lot of gay Conservatives

I doubt this very much. There are not a lot of homosexuals in this country and I'd wager that far fewer than 50% of homosexual voters are conservative.

So long as they dont try to stick it down my throat I don’t care what they do in private.

I agree with you, however the very existence of 'GOProud' means that they are not content in keeping their proclivities private. Otherwise they'd simply join some existing conservative organization and keep their mouth shut with respect to their bedroom lives.

Seems to me that GOProud would be a natural for the TEA Party - stick to the taxes and finances, ignore the rest. Natural supporters of that movement...
