The Wasted Valor of the Navy SEALs By Michael Filozof
Americab Thinker ^ | August 12, 2011 | Michael Filozof

Posted on 08/12/2011 5:16:30 AM PDT by Old Badger

The fact is that the SEALs died in vain, and their valor was squandered by a nation led by incompetents and craven political hacks that have no idea how to win the war in Afghanistan after a decade of trying................. There is something sickeningly wrong with a country that sends it finest, fittest, most disciplined young men into combat for ten years straight while legions of welfare cheats and stock-market Ponzi schemers lounge about and the government borrows trillions from their yet-unborn grandchildren.

In all seriousness I believe we should have blown the mountaintop off with a tactical nuclear bomb when we were chasing Osama bin Laden at Tora Bora in 2001.

A small, or even large, nuke is not necessarily a particularly effective weapon against someone deep in a cave. Might collapse the cave, but if not he'd probably be unhurt.

A deep cave is pretty much the ultimate bomb shelter.

Quote from article:

"There is something sickeningly wrong when honorable, valorous, disciplined, elite men are sent to their deaths by an effete commander-in-chief who spent his own youth not parading at Annapolis, fast-roping out of helicopters, or crawling through the mud under barbed wire during live-fire training exercises, but rather, according to his own admission in his autobiography, smoking marijuana, snorting cocaine, contemplating shooting heroin with a needle, and hanging out with Marxists, radical blacks, and structural feminists so as not to appear to be a "sell-out.""

This is an article that needs to be splashed all over the Internet. Go to the link and read ...... please!

I am repeatedly struck by the stark contrast between our elite, intelligent and highly educated and trained troops who are idealistic, patriotic, brave and loyal, and the sleazy, slippery, compromising and spineless politicians in Washington running (ruining) our country. What a difference!

The troopers are the kind men who should be in Washington running our country. Oh, I wish!

That’s when you use the “big hole strategy”. After you hit them with the first nuke, you wait a little while - long enough for the vermin to being to scramble out of their holes and you hit the SOBs again with a bigger one!

“I still like Palin because she will tell like it is and she take no prisoners!”

Sarah Palin is the only potential Republican Presidential candidate who is not a politician. I know she’s an ex-governor and worked in politics but she came out of that without the heart of a politician.

She thinks like us.

Power corrupts, but I think Palin could be President and still not be corrupted by the poisonous atmosphere of Washington, D.C..

Only in America, my FRiend, only in Amweica could that happen. To me it is sickening. But that is just my take.

America must learn to defeat our enemies.
Our Rules of Engagement have prevented that objective.
The idea that we have to be fired upon first, and then make sure we have a “safe shot”, is nonsense.
We can’t allow enemies to hide behind women and children.
When we decide to kill them where they stand, they will be unwelcome in their own homes.
The notion that this “makes us no better than them” is crap!

This gem is from Southern Hoosier, in the comments that follow the article:

The old adage. "An army of sheep led by a lion will defeat an army of lions led by a sheep. " That is what we have today. All these young lions being led by sheep. Instead of being led by a sheep they are being led by a goat, a Judas goat.

Quite frankly, I don't like the author's attitude.

We have not won a war since WW2 where we carpet bombed and nuked cities.

“America must learn to defeat our enemies....”

The worst and most destructive of our enemies are right here at home at this point. Capitol Hill has done multi-generations worth of damage to America. the consequences of cultural and financial degradation damage and kill far beyond the wildest imagination of the Taliban.

Their deaths were not in vain.

Here’s a tribute and a broader view of their mission:

I think Herman Cain may fall into the same category as Palin. I hope Palin runs as I’m getting tired of holding my nose in the voting booth.

Some pictures of these brave young men have been posted on-line. I believe the picture of Obama sitting on the couch with what appears to be his boyfriend smoking what appears to be a joint should be published along side photo's of these hero's. It would show the marked contrast.
