ROCK HILL, SC - U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham said the recent downgrade of the country's bond rating by Standard & Poor's is a "wake-up call" for national leaders to keep looking for ways to boost the economy and spur job creation.
The S.C. Republican also said it's important for bipartisan talks on those issues, saying neither political party alone can solve the major problems facing the country.
Graham spoke Thursday before more than 50 attendees of a luncheon held by the Rock Hill Rotary club. His talk focused primarily on the economy, military efforts in the Middle East and immigration reform.

He addressed immigration, calling again for the country to secure its border with Mexico. Otherwise, he said, terrorists might find a way to take advantage of the situation.
He said the current undocumented immigrants should be given a chance to become legal, including paying a fine, learning English and "going to the back of the line" if they want the chance to become citizens.

Go to hell, you treasonous bastard.
Heck No.
Buy a clue Senator!!!
The American job machine doesnt start until someone in DC grabs a history text and starts reading about Warren Harding...and acting on it.
Warren Harding figured it out in 1920...
Congress and the Executive Branch have lots to do.
So far theyre not doin it right..
Its been done before..
Harding cut the governments budget nearly in half between 1920 and 1922. The rest of Hardings approach was equally laissez-faire. Tax rates were slashed for all income groups. The national debt was reduced by one-third. The Federal Reserves activity, moreover, was hardly noticeable. As one economic historian puts it, Despite the severity of the contraction, the Fed did not move to use its powers to turn the money supply around and fight the contraction. 2 By the late summer of 1921, signs of recovery were already visible. The following year, unemployment was back down to 6.7 percent and was only 2.4 percent by 1923.

BTW..ole Warren ALSO fixed immigration...
Mr. Harding signed into law the Emergency Quota Act[3] which sought to control immigration following World War I and preserve the distinctive American culture by ensuring the majority of immigrants came from the historically compatible cultures of Northern Europe. This law aimed to bring wages of hard working Americans under control by limiting immigration to 3% of the 1910 census. It was followed on by a similar act in 1924, after Mr. Hardings death.[4]
A Warren Harding prescription...if filled ...would ignite the afterburners on the US job machine and the economy. However DC would have to yield on a tremendous amount of power. Our job as We the People...is to persuade them of the utility ..shall we say..of doing so. In all probability the same minds that made the mess...arent capable of the solution however.
BTW any takers that Bammy couldnt even tell you that Warren Harding was one of his predecessors in office?
Even more telling about what our betters in the RinoCracy think of a Constitutional President..
Lindsey still doesn’t get it. They don’t want to be U.S. citizens. If they did, they’d learn to speak English and get rid of the Mexican flag license plates. They want money to send back “home”. Geeesh! What a dork! Politicians are so DUMB! The boys just don’t know how to focus and pay attention.
The fastest way to increase wages and jobs for those without college educations would be to a) eject the illegals and b) prevent re-entry.
Labor compensation is about supply and demand. Wages aren’t about to go up when there are seven to nine people standing in line for a job. If the first applicant doesn’t take the job for the pay being offered, there are a bunch of people the employer can ask who probably will take the wage.
Lindsay is a disgrace.
Re: post #7
What a great post. Have to admit, I knew little about THAT history - ‘funny’ how the public schools gloss over things like this, but they spend three weeks praising FDR!
Translation: "I don't think we need tax increases. I call for increasing taxes instead."
Its only a matter of courage, common sense, perseverance and time before free people elect yet another such leader.
No sir! The last election was a wake up call and you are still asleep!
FULG!!!!! Dirty no good ***@(()!
