in the Iowa debates was the panel appeared to telling the Repubs in Congress that they are apart as far as current behavior from the solutions needed.

Agree, they need some direction and courage to do the right thing, and right now. It is too bad they cave to Democrats when they knew what they were passing wasn't sound economically. If winter sets in hard on any tent city, the Little House on the Prairie will seem like a luxury.

We would be reading a story about this every day if a republican were president.

Notice you don’t see the sort of liberal Hollywood types like Martin Sheen “raising awareness” these days.

How come there was none of the ritual uproar about the homeless being undercounted after the recent census?

I keep wondering about that. Any story on Obamavilles and the new homeless always features respectable salt-of-the-earth types who are just down on their luck, not the hardcore drunks and druggies who usually constitute the homeless population.

So this “pastor” Steve Brigham is another Mitch Snyder type? Is he in fact an actual pastor who decided to walk among the wretched of the earth or is he a nogoodnik drifter who decided to become a homeless advocate?

Holy cow!

Take a minute to watch the clip that accompanies the article.

I don’t want to judge people by appearances but get a good long look at Madame and Monsieur Berenzweig. Do those look like the TEETH of a formerly successful New York textile designer and her husband? I suspicion otherwise.

The ultimate nightmare is of course, of respectable, honest, hardworking people ending up on the street. I just wonder how many in reality find themselves in such straits for extended periods of time.

This isn’t an ‘’Obamaville’’. This is a story that has been around for some few years here in the Bricktown/Lakewood NJ area, long before Obama took office. None of these people are ‘’homeowners’’ who’ve ‘’’omg I’ve lost everything now I’m homeless’’. As I stated, they’re bums and illegal aliens. This Bingham(the guys no more a ‘’pastor’’ than I am) has been a pain in the ass for years. These folks aren’t doing bad at all. They’re regularly given clothes, food, you name it. And the ‘’tents’’? Actually not too long ago Bingham strong-armed somebody to build them all insulated plywood shelters with generators and heat. If you go to the Asbury Park Press on line (app.com) and search under “Pastor Steve Bingham/tent city’’ you can learn more about it. I must warn you though The Asbury Park Press is a Gannett-owned newspapaer so get ready for the sob stories.

Thank you. I’ll try. As I posted to ‘’sinaju’’, this has been an ‘’issue’’( a bloody pain in the ass for all us local taxpayers actually) here in Bricktown, NJ for years and quite honestly people around here are fed up with ‘’Pastor’’ Bingham and his ‘’homeless congregation’’.

Sorry folks, its “Brigham’’, not ‘’Bingham’’. Darn middle-aged eyesight.
